Thoughtful and well done!
The overall feeling I have towards this book is compassionate and thoughtful. I was really impressed by the author's way of making the reader feel not alone. My daughter has trouble focusing and has endless energy. We have not had her tested but reading this book was super helpful for me to understand how to parent these special children.
I appreciate the chapters on schooling and self-care the most. It's so hard to take care of yourself when you are solely focused on helping your child. But it is so important and cannot be forgotten if you are to get through this challenge.
Well done, book; I was impressed.

All about that bond
What attarcted me to listening to this audiobook, was that it starts with "understanding". I'm not here to tame my ADHD child. Sure, school results are important, but, to me, the bond with my child is much more important than for them to 'be good'. Advice on how to advocate for them at school is particularly helpful.

Such an Eye-Opener!
I thoroughly enjoyed diving into this listen. As a teacher, I witness on daily basis the many challenges educators, carers, parents and children face with ADHD. I found this book packed with clear, practical advice that feels doable, even on the toughest days. I loved how it didn’t just focus on the challenges and put forth a lot about celebrating your child’s strengths and building a stronger bond with them.If you’re feeling overwhelmed or just want to better understand your child, this book is a comforting and empowering resource. Highly recommend!

PRACTICAL, RELATABLE, AND UPLIFTING INSIGHTS
Just finished listening to this, and I have to say—it’s great! The strategies are straightforward and make so much sense, even in the chaos of real life. The advice on managing explosive behavior really hit home, and I’ve already noticed a change in how my kid and I communicate. It’s not preachy or overly technical, which I really appreciated. It felt like having a wise, understanding friend guide me through tough situations. If parenting has felt like a constant battle lately, this is totally worth a listen!

A Practical Guide for ADHD Parenting
This book gave me so many practical ideas that I can actually use with my family. One piece of advice that really stuck with me was how consequences should always be tied to the situation—and to never use food or affection as punishment or reward. It’s already helping us create a more positive environment at home. The tips felt relatable and easy to apply, making me feel more confident as a parent. Highly recommend to anyone navigating ADHD parenting challenges!

A wonderful read that supports everyday life
This audiobook is incredibly helpful for parents, teachers, caregivers or even like me, friends of parents who have a child with ADHD. It breaks down what makes ADHD unique and gives loads of tips you can actually use to handle tricky behaviours and bring more calm to the home and family life. There’s great advice on how to work with schools and stand up for your child when needed, plus ideas for strengthening your relationship with them at home. I especially liked how it doesn’t just focus on what’s hard—it’s about noticing and celebrating what your child does well too. The mindfulness exercises and self-care suggestions are so helpful, especially when things feel overwhelming. If you’re a parent who wants to connect more with your child and feel more in control, this audiobook is definitely worth a listen and it's one I will share and listen to again and again.
