Summary

A lesbian romance trilogy from best-selling author Harper Bliss.

Two Hearts Alone: In the small town of Donovan Grove, Anna Gunn's life is organized just the way she likes it: work from home, walks with her dog, Friday night drinks at the bar. But Anna's strict routine is challenged when the local bookstore is taken over by city slicker Zoe Perez.

Two Hearts Together: After finding their way to each other, Zoe and Anna must now navigate the waves of a budding relationship and the scrutiny that comes with living in a small town.

Two Hearts Forever: After overcoming their difficulties, Anna and Zoe are nurturing their relationship, letting it grow slowly but surely. When a surprise visitor shows up in Donovan Grove, things threaten to go off course. Or will the unexpected circumstances help Anna and Zoe grow closer to each other?

Sweet and heartfelt small town romance.

This Trilogy is a wonderful listen and really encapsulates one woman’s neurodiverse experience. Beyond this it is a gorgeous love story with home and family at its very heart. The dual first person narrative works well and I enjoyed the two narrators’ interpretation of the main characters.

Lovely......

Lovely love story with a twist ,the journey that the two MC's take to come together has differing strands.. Autism can be displayed as sad and debilitating and this can colour the way in which it is 'understood' often to the point of 'mis-understood !
Zoey and Anna are character's that you just want to have their HEA and they thankfully do. The book is very Harper Bliss and without too much of a spoiler, at the end you will understand that last sentence !
MM and TE do the story and characters justice a good choice !

An interesting read

Unusually for me I didn’t especially warn to the main characters. That’s not to say they were deficient in any way or unbelievable - I think I just couldn’t see them as a potential couple.

I did however relate to Anna. Long have I been convinced that although high-functioning I too am on the spectrum and the more I read from her perspective the more I empathised with her crushing anxiety and need for timeout and space.

I also felt as I was reading that Harper was writing as someone who knows what it’s like to have ASD so I was not surprised by her note to the reader. Perhaps I have been harsh in my rating and maybe I would have enjoyed the book more if I’d read it rather than listened to it on audible. Sorry but I really struggled to relax into the book as I normally would - unfortunately the narration was just too stilted and almost abrasive for me. But then…maybe that’s the point?

Inspirational

As a late in life ASD dx woman I find this book so very inspirational. Ann is relatable in every way.

Had to quit an hour in

I absolutely love Harper Bliss and I’m sure this book is great but one of the narrators (who plays Anna) is awful. Her voice is super annoying and it makes the character seem unrealistic to me. I had to quit, might come back to it if I ever get desperate or actually read the book.

happiness

before the authors note i knew I was going to say everyone deserves happiness and respect, then I understood why Harper is such a great writer, it all comes from within, the dual narration is delivered with a flow each gives warmly and with loving sincerity

A beautiful moving story

When writing from her heart about difficult subjects Harper Bliss excels. The depth, understanding and sensitive treatment of vulnerability make characters like Anna come to life as truly lovable. Such skill. Such a privilege to be able to read these books. Thank you Harper Bliss.

not for me

I love Harper Bliss novels. But I just could not get on with this title. The narration I found grated on me. I kept listening hoping I would change my mind but no.
Perhaps its because I have been so totally absorb by French Kissing and Pink Bean series.
