Summary
Dating the Prince of Darkness has its challenges....
Leila's psychic abilities have been failing her, and now she isn't sure what the future holds. If that weren't enough, her lover, Vlad, has been acting distant. Though Leila is a mere mortal, she's also a modern woman who refuses to accept the cold-shoulder treatment forever - especially from the darkly handsome vampire who still won't admit that he loves her....
Like choosing between eternal love and a loveless eternity....
Soon circumstances send Leila back to the carnival circuit, where tragedy strikes. And when she finds herself in the crosshairs of a killer who may be closer than she realizes, Leila must decide who to trust - the fiery vampire who arouses her passions like no other or the tortured knight who longs to be more than a friend? With danger stalking her every step of the way, all it takes is one wrong move to damn her for eternity....

Love humour...hot main man!!
Love this series and have the next booked for the release date. Lots of mini stories as side lines which keep it moving whilst maintaining the readers interest in the main characters.
I found this book easy to listen to, it made me want to go back to it to see what was going to happen next. Sheer fantasy!

Entertaining
To appreciate book 2 you need to listen to the first in the series. It's not a deep read but it's a good listen if you like fantasy novels. I will need a bit of a break before I decide whether book 3 is worth the credit as vlads blood thirsty pain inflicting behaviour and Layla's easy acceptance of it is a little bit beyond the realms of understandable behaviour in my mind even for a fantasy novel. Still a 4 star read though as it kept me entertained whilst putting up new blinds :)

Worth reading/hearing
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, I would. it has a strong story with a very good narrator.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I loved the strength of character and the tussle between Vlad and Leila - the moments when Leila lays down her wants and Vlad refuses to give way - the scene when he walks away and she leaves is so strong!
Any additional comments?
This is the second book about Vlad and Leila and the strong story continues. Really enjoyed the complex situations and story development. Will definitely be looking out for the next book in the series.

Vampires???
I love Vampire books but this series is brilliant and sometimes wish they were real but you would never get vampires like Vlad or any of his guards in this day and age .I would like to know what happened to Leilas sister. Tania Gilbert is a brilliant narrator with her change of voices . I have now read books 1 and 2 at least 4or 5 times am now reading 3 which I have read only once so am reading full series now number 4 is out so looking forward to reading it

Another great read by Jeaniene Frost
I'm so glad that Vlad and Layla have been given a longer story than previous characters of the Night Huntress World novels. Even though we didn't always see a lot of Vlad in the Night Huntress novels I always felt he was a very strong character. I loved his and Cat's friendship in the books so the fact that he has found someone like Layla, who's character is developing into a great heroin, and that we get to read their story over the space of three books instead of just one is a huge bonus for me. Oh, okay...and also because I've always had a huge crush on the grumpy vampire.
Twice Tempted had me hooked from beginning to end. The story is well driven, action packed and full of angst. It had plenty of emotion and as the story moves on I find Vlad and Layla becoming very close to the top of my favourite couple list. If I was to say anything negative, it would be that I wasn't quite expecting it to finish when it did. I read the last line and turned the page expecting to read more only to find that there wasn't any but that is only a minor thing. On the whole it was an enjoyable read but to be honest, I never really expect anything less from a Jeaniene Frost book. I look forward to more Vlad and Layla and I'm excited to see an old enemy return in book three.

Amazing story
Amazing story, a very interesting take on the historical character Vlad Tepesh. Horror, supernatural elements, romance & smut - makes for a brilliant listen. Brilliant series. Tavia Gilbert is very good at bringing the characters & the story to life! Definitely recommend! Couldn't put it down - listened to it at work. I love how the characters evolve over these first 2 books, looking forward to seeing how they evolve further through the series

awesome
I was actually introduced to this author through this knight Prince series with Vlad and Leyla. I loved it so much I went off to find out what else she'd written, realised these books sit within the whole other story arc of the knight huntress world with cat and bones and promptly started working my way through that series.
firstly if you too didn't realise these books are stories within a larger story I highly recommend reading the whole series in order. I've seriously enjoyed it.
secondly this is my second read/listen to Vlad and layla's story, because I wanted to listen again knowing the fuller context of the wider story arc, along with all the other characters, and I'm really glad I did. you by no means have to, I loved these books the first time before I realised the bigger story existed, but I'm really glad I have read them again within the bigger story arc because there are little references to things that have happened previously that I now understand this time round, because ' I was there' in a previous book, which, for me, just makes the stories a little richer, but as I said by no means necessary.
the vlad and Leyla story arc within the night huntress world is really great and this is another great story. Ever wondered what would happen if you break up with a vampire? is he just your ex? and how do you deal with a break up while fighting for your life? another great story.

Download
Great story and good narrator. Poor quality download. Keeps skipping the odd words especially at the end of the chapter. Will return it.
