Summary

Too Late...I Love You is the new novel from best-selling, award-winning author Kiki Archer.

Connie Parker isn’t convinced by this falling in love lark. Falling hurts, you end up with bruises and scars.

She has the perfect answer: She’ll write about love instead. But what happens when the novel-in-progress describes more about Connie’s own dull existence than she wants to admit? And when will she realize that her hero is beginning to resemble her new best friend Maria - a woman who seems to turn every simple outing with their three-year-olds into a fun-filled adventure for them all?

In trying to make sense of the puzzle of her life, Connie learns there is no perfect person. Just that person who'll fit you perfectly.

"The twists and turns and surprises just keep coming - listen to it now!" (Diana Simmonds, Curve Magazine)

Brilliant

I have read this book in paperback, and so this was a re-read/listen for me.

Absolutely love the story, a perfect lesbian romance. The book focuses on Connie Parker, a mother to 3 year old Noah. Her relationship is anything but perfect and after meeting a new friend, Maria, her world is turned upside down.

I love then ending. Everything makes perfect sense, but quite unexpected.

A sweet surprise

A few reviews ago I would say this is not my normal genre, however I have listened to a fair few similar titles to date so at last have a background for comparison.

Too Late... I Love You is a surprising delight. The characters are well rounded and identifiable. My favourite is the tyrannical mother-in-law who is just so delectably hate-able, and marvellously narrated; I've never known an audiobook character to be so believable. The same can be said for the rest of the cast. The narrator has done an incredible job giving all the characters their own individual and consistent voices

The plot is well structured and paced. The ups and downs of ending and burgeoning relationships is explored, in intertwining and often overlapping narratives.

If you want a listen with varied cast of interesting characters expertly narrated, I would recommend Too Late... I Love You.

Great characters, realistic love story.

This brilliant book had me hooked from the beginning, I laughed, cried and spent moments on the edge of my seat.
The narrator brought the characters to life beautifully, teamed with the twists and turns and the emotional intelligence of the story line it depicted a realistic and enthralling love story, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Sweet

So for me this strory took it's time, building slowly, giving the characters depth though not getting too bogged down in their history or past drama, adding tension, a few chuckles, a bit of passion, and then wrapping up almost perfectly. Having said that, both characters were likeable, fairly realistic, with realistic intentions and reactions to events. The dialog worked, the setting worked.Ella Lynch did a fab job and I definitely enjoyed all book so I will recommend this book .
