Summary

Penguin presents the audiobook edition of Tom Clancy's Enemy Contact, written by Mike Maden, read by Scott Brick.

The gripping new thriller in Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan Jr series

On a remote island off the coast of Argentina, a team of elite counter-terror commandos prepare to assault a newly discovered Hezbollah hideout.

What they don't expect is to be brutally ambushed themselves - slaughtered with no survivors.

What they don't realise is that, on screens around the world, the enemies of the West are watching.

Back in Washington, DC, the growing obstruction in the Senate has reached crippling levels, as a crucial treaty to strength NATO in Eastern Europe is inexplicably blocked. Suspecting that key politicians may have been compromised - but aware of the explosive consequences of making such accusations in public - the President dispatches Jack Ryan Jr to Poland to investigate.

In Warsaw, Jack partners with beautiful and brilliant Polish agent Liliana Zaleski, and it's not long before they find evidence of a tangled web of corruption. But what Jack and Liliana don't realise is that this conspiracy stretches further than they could ever have imagined, and the danger has already crept terrifyingly close to home....

Excellent story as always taken over Clancy Helm

Definitely a winner. A must read if you're a Jack Ryan follower. Jr is getting more grit.

A half decent Jack Ryan

The story jumps about a bit and makes convenient ‘oh he just got out of that...’ assumptions on more than one occasion. Definitely not up there with the best of the Tom Clancys or adaptations, but entertaining enough.

good read, accept its fiction

the ending comes a bit quick, but overall an excellent read goes into deep depression to pure luck, but remember it's not a documentary

Outstanding story, highly recommended

I really enjoyed the audio book. Lots of swists and turns on the plot, but all crafted expertly into a great book.

Wild tangents, mediocre story

This is the first time Clancy book which I have almost given up on before finishing. The story is weak and 3/4 of the way through diverted off a a tangent which was completely irrelevant to the plot. I found myself getting bored. The overall plot, once finished, felt unfulfilled, like there was so much potential for the story to be great but it did not achieve its potential at all.

As usual Scott Brick’s narration was great but even he couldn’t save the weak plot.

This book seems to be propoganda for trump

Disappointed, may as well listen to trump speak as the content is the same nonsense

Better than his last one

He seems to have got the message about endless lists . Story was reasonable . Still prefer Marc Cameron.

A bit weary

The Jack Ryan character is over moralistic and over ethical, he won't let anything go, i was assume in real life, he would be a very poor spy. The story didn't entertain me, the man wants to save the world.
