Summary
A writer turned barbarian.
A human turned spellbook.
A tower that's going to kill them both if they don't band together.
My name is Randy—the noun, not the adjective.
As a professional writer and accidental barbarian, I should be a prime candidate to be portaled to a LitRPG fantasy world known as Genera. It should be a no-brainer for me to grab the nearest weapon and start slaying bloodthirsty goblins, gaining levels, solving puzzles, and fighting my way to the top of a mysterious tower with seven distinct floors.
Technically, I was born for this $#!%.
Or so I thought....
Unlike actual video games, if someone dies here in Genera, they die here for good. And I don't want to die. Not only that, the challenges are sudden and unpredictable, and wizards and other players seem dead-set on sending me to an early grave.
So I do what any writer-turned-barbarian in a fantasy world does—I find someone to team up with. A guild of sorts. Only my new partner-in-crime isn't a person. He's a magical spellbook named Clovis. And while he has many flaws, Clovis may just be the ticket to both of us surviving this mad challenge.
So in a way, this is sort of a LitRPG buddy comedy about two players forced to get good or die trying. But it's also an action-packed true story about my journey through a fascinating new world with surprises around every corner, one that you will have to hear to believe....
About the series: Tokens and Towers is from Amazon best seller Harmon Cooper, author of Monster Hunt NYC and The Feedback Loop. This is Harmon's seventh LitRPG series, one jam-packed with genre Easter eggs, fantasy tropes turned upside down, a ton of heart, and a John Wick's worth of action.

Fun listening
Got of copy of this book after winning a Hampster giff off (after listening the hamster bit made more sense).
The story is well written and narrated and the story was a laugh a minute. Lots of fun reference to books, films, TV shows old and new that fit well when used.
If you looking for a fun listern then this is a great choice.
Now off to listern to book 2.

Fun book
Really enjoyed this one, easy to follow, fun all the way through with some adult humour and well placed pop culture references. Looking forward to book 2.

really wnjoyable
rarely I write a review. before I have finished a book but loving it so far!!! this has opened up a new authors catalogue to me.
I will edit when I finish the book!!!
ok so all I can say is what. an enjoyable listen.
if you are looking for bad jokes that make you chortle out loud and a book where a pop culture reference really helps describe what the author is going for the. this is up your alley.
stata, just enough. cracking narration and everyone's favourite pen name ... Angel Farts.
just purchased book 2 to continue the adventure of a fantasy author, a spell book, an AI and pesky glitter spreading quest giving wizards.

It's Crazily Good
This first audio nails it in all the good ways not like a nail in a tyre ,as the ramblings of our mad lad narrated excellently by Daniel is brilliant.
With additional narration by Rebecca Woods who deserves to be in this good company the writing and narration just work.
As this is a crazy and eccentric tale of tower climbing and self indulgent monologue by our stranded MC writer and his companion spellbook ,hoping to make something of himself as he powers up, fans of Coopers feedback loop and fantasy online series will love this.
If new to this then be ready for a wild ride in sure you will enjoy as much as I did.

Such a good book!
“Lucky Bumbling idiots” best describes the two main characters.
From start to finish this book keeps you wanting more, from the witty banter and the ohh so bad observational humour to the interesting and outlandish settings the characters find themselves in.

4 stars - a good laugh
gave it 5 stars because anything less hurts authors with Amazon.
real review is 4 stars.
it's a good book with a few laughs and nice nods to other authors.
For me the main characters lack drive. They are classic underdogs but they have no real motivation to win so I found it hard to care if they win of lose.
