About this listen
Ophelia's husband disappears at the most inopportune times. After 10 years, she's not sure why she puts up with it, other than the fact that she's loved him since she first saw him in college, before the physics experiment that started Will involuntarily sliding through time. And there's nothing anyone can do about it. Or is there?

Fascinating short romance!
What if you made certain decisions and the result is something that changes the fabric of your existance? This is a tale that explores that very concept.
Unlike most sci-fi stories, this one is simplicitic in nature making it feel more realistic/ possible. This is a story about a group of friends who innocently participate in an experiment that result in them randomly sliding through time, making subtle changes to history. The challenges of this on their personal relationships is immeasurable and the choices they have to make are difficult. Knowledge about the possibilities, about the future and past is the real currency in this story.
This is a very easy book to listen to. It displays the strength of love and commitment. But mostly it leaves the reader pondering life's 'what ifs.'
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Any additional comments?
A clever twist on the time travel concept. A small group of students who knew each other at college become reluctant time travellers, each individually unexpectedly vanishing to reappear moments, hours or days later, which can cause far more difficulties for the wives left behind than might at first be obvious. Then one day, a traveller returns, murdered. Something has to be done. But where had he been?
This clever, twisting short story is well written, and nicely narrated by Ann Bumbak whose pleasant, steady and unemotional voice tells the story from the wife's perspective. Unusual and well worth the listen. My thanks to the rights holder who gifted me a complimentary copy of Time's Anchor, via Audiobook Boom, without any expectations in return.

Intriguing and fascinating
My first foray into the world of Lynda Elder was a welcome trip. Great characters and a very well realised world. Intrigue and mystery is built up over the course of the novel. It is a familiar world to those who are used to The Time Traveller's Wife but with more at stake and characters you begin to really care for. The technical side of timel travel is spoken of but as that isn't the crux of the story it is more on the periphery of the story. Lives change and lives are lost. A different narrator might make more of the variety of characters and I felt the ending was a little rushed but if there was a Time's Anchor 2 I would certainly listen to it.

Great potential!
This was a quirky little story about a group of people who let scientists run experiments on them to earn some extra cash during their college years. For some reason, the testing causes them to randomly disappear and reappear in different time frames. It's a very short and very easy to read. I would have given it full stars, but I felt it could have been drawn out a little and been given more depth.
I liked the narrator. They did a pretty decent job delivering the story. At the moment, I can't think of anything negative about the narration. Only the length of the book. I fully recommend.
