Summary
Me: My childhood was stolen by a monster. I've forgotten what love feels like. What happiness feels like. What hope feels like. I am numb.
Him: He's possibly as damaged as I am. Maybe even more. Scarred just as much on the inside as the outside. Just like me. He doesn't speak. He doesn't smile. He hides in the woods like an animal. I should be scared of him, but I'm not. He's the only one that has ever made me feel. And I want to make him feel, too. Everything....

Beautiful
Tyler and Holly, two lost deeply damaged souls find each other and heal each other, finding love despite their nightmare pasts.
This is a really good story, that has a gentle ebb and flow despite the horrendous nature of the things that have happened to them previously . Tyler rescues Holly from the hands of her captor, and she rescues him from a life of loneliness and guilt. They are both scarred inside and out but both only see the beauty in each other. It’s a lovely story, and you don’t need to have read the previous novels to enjoy this one.
Both narrator’s did a great job, particularly Ava who has a beautiful soft, almost childlike voice, perfectly portraying the innocence of Holly.
Listen out for the bonus scene at the end - what a lovely way for it to end.

Two troubled souls find their happy together.
Oh my life, I didn’t think she could top TORN but did Carian ever? Yeah, she sure did. This story is heartbreaking and heartwarming and every heart in between. I love a survivor romance and man, are Holly and Ty survivors. They are forever bonded over the darkness that Holly went through and the moment that Ty pulled her out of the hole.
Carian takes us on a journey of self discovery. Holly was kidnapped at 5 and kept for 11 years. When Ty finds her she is every bit the lost 5-year-old child that went missing. She’s drawn to this scarred, mute, recluse that lives in the woods and she just can’t stay away. This is a book where we literally see the characters grow. Carian paints a vivid picture of the horrors that haunt Ty and the fairytale hopes that Holly has for the future. This couple shouldn’t work but they do. They are the yin to the other’s yang. The soft to the rough. They fit perfectly and understand the stares, whispers and talking about each other. It’s through their shared experiences that they connect and feelings grow.
I loved everything about this book. I was rooting for both Holly and Ty from the beginning and their story ended just perfectly. I’m not giving any plot away because this story needs to be experienced as each piece of the picture is revealed. Carian is a beautiful story teller, giving voices to the most unlikely saviours. I am loving her books more with each one I read.
Ava gave us the innocent Holly. The youth in her voice was evident and her insecurities really shone through in her performance. I’m so glad by the end that we feel Holly’s strength growing and that’s testament to Ava’s voice acting. Guy is a new narrator for me and while I felt he gave us the strained and troubled Ty, at times I found his performance a little one note. However, it didn’t distract from this amazing story that has jumped straight into my 2022 highlights.

Love this book
I really enjoyed this book and was sad when it was over. The whole subject is fairly taboo but is very well written and simply brilliant. The narrators are perfect to. I look forward to Carians future books

excellent book & narration
Both narrator's did a fantastic job performing each of the characters within the book. Guy Locke is a new narrator to me and I thought he performed Tyler excellently, capturing his character perfectly.
you can not help but feel for Tyler and Holly, these two have been through much. the content is something some people will need to check before reading as it covers difficult subjects t matter, however I was done with care and without the grafic details. the bonus scene at the end of the book made me cry, I'm so happy they got their fairytale ending. Another fantastic book from this author, I wish we had the rest of the families stories.
