Fabulous Story & Listen🎧 Riveting & Heartwarming!
Adriana Locke does it again and pens another amazing romance novel set in her “Marshall Family” series, a heartwarming standalone novel that not only captivated my attention the entire time, but tugged at my heartstrings, too. It is popstar sensation Laina Kelley’s wedding day, and she is all dressed up and ready to go, except the only place she wants to go is far away because she realizes she does not want to marry her fiancé, Hollywood heart throb, Tom Waverly. She calls her best friend Stephanie, who helps arrange her get-away car and driver, Troy Castelli of Landry Security. Not sure where she can run too without being recognized, an idea popped into her head, and that is how she winds up going to Peachwood Falls to visit her first love, Luke Marshall. Finding Laina in his home surprised Luke, but it was a welcomed surprise and he was on board with keeping her hidden and safe, and for Laina, she felt like she was home again. I absolutely adored these two, and it was great to watch them get reacquainted, and it was clear they had unresolved feelings for each other and the chemistry between them never sizzled out. This wonderfully written and plotted story has the perfect balance of drama, charming and heartwarming moments, humorous banter amongst the Marshalls, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. Adriana Locke, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 Shiloh James and Lance Greenfield did a fabulous job bringing these characters to life, humanizing them with their personality, and giving each a voice that was fitting. James’ portrayal of Laina was perfection, taking the role and making it her own, and Greenfield did the same and was just as amazing in his role as Luke. Both were fantastic performing the roles of the secondary characters and were believable in every role they played. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling every single one. These two are entertaining storytellers and their performance elevates this already amazing story to another level. Thank you for another wonderful listen.

I'm swooning over Luke!
Small Town, second chance, chemistry galore and that amazing family dynamics that we're used to with Adriana's books.
Prepare to be swept away by This Much Is True! This book is a journey through love, passion, and self discovery.
When famous singer Laina flees her own wedding and seeks refuge in the comforting arms of her high school sweetheart, horse farrier Luke, sparks fly immediately. Their shared history of love, torn apart by Laina's demanding career and her money-hungry father, sets the stage for this sweet story.
Laina's struggle for independence and Luke's supportive family, filled with quirky siblings and devoted parents, provides an entertaining backdrop as he and Laina navigate their rekindled feelings.
The chemistry between Laina and Luke is palpable, igniting the pages with steamy and passionate encounters that will make you melt. Their journey is not just about rekindling lost love but also about rediscovering themselves and what truly matters in life.
This Much Is True is a captivating tale of love overcoming obstacles, perfect for fans of second chance/small town romances with a touch of heat and heartfelt emotion.

Second Chance Steamy Romance
An ALC was provided by Valentine PR but all opinions are my own.
This Much is True by Adriana Locke
📖: 🌟🌟🌟.5/5

This Much is True follows Laina Kelley, a pop superstar, and her former boyfriend, Luke Marshall, as they are thrust back together when Laina jilts her fiancé.
I really enjoyed this story. I loved Laina and Luke together, it really felt like they fit and they picked up their friendship so seamlessly. Their banter was cute and I loved when she teased him!
Laina was an interesting character. As a pop superstar, she has been used and controlled by everyone, including her own parents and her fiancé. She is just starting to regain the control and confidence to make her own way.
Luke didn't have quite so much depth, as we rarely see him outside of his relationship with Laina. He is very sweet with her, however, and tries very hard, at first, to be a gentleman. This, fortunately, does not last long!
I did feel that Laina gave up too easily on her point about Luke taking away her autonomy when they were younger. She has been dealing with this for years, and he reacted badly to her taking issue with it. He needed to grovel a bit more, even if he had good intentions!! The climax was also a bit underwhelming.
The narration was performed by Lance Greenfield and Shiloh James. The latter was new to me and I found her enjoyable but not particularly memorable. Lance Greenfield is in a similar category for me, he isn't a narrator I would search for, but I'm fine to listen to him. They both paced well but I felt their voices were not very well matched.
Overall, it was a good story and enjoyable audiobook!

Swoony
This was such a Swoony Romance. This was full of so much love, Luke is so swoony and adoring.
Laina is such a strong woman, who is finally standing up for herself and setting boundaries. She’s letting herself breathe and find peace.
This was full of love, hope, passion, and soul mates.
The narration was very well done.

Cute romance, quick listen
Audiobook review: narrated by Lance Greenfield and Shiloh James
This is a quick, sweet romance between a pop star and her ex-boyfriend. Low angst, no third-act breakup. Just a feel-good small town, second chance that is a great read/listen. It starts out strong and stays consistent in a way that will have you getting lost in the story. The interactions between Luke and his siblings were really fun to listen to. The narrators did a good job bringing these characters to life and I highly recommend grabbing this one in audio if you are a fan.

Luke & Laina
3.75 stars
Luke has been so much anticipated since we met his brother Chase. Laina was unexpected but so good for Luke.
I enjoyed the super star trope where she is looking for herself and comfort where she was most happy once finding it with Luke and his family.

Beautifully written second chance romance
This is the second book in the Marshall Family Series. I read it, and loved it. The audiobook version is great! Laina and Luke's story is sweet, passionate, fun, engaging, and heartwarming. This is a beautifully written second chance to love. Luke is handsome, and supportive. Laina is beautiful, smart, and determined. I liked the family ties, and the small town vibes. Shiloh James and Lance Greenfield did an excellent job bringing these characters, and this story to life. I enjoyed it.

Second chances are the best!
Where do you go when you are expected at the alter, but don't want to marry the man waiting for you? That is the question Laina Kelly faced when her very public wedding was just about to take place. Getting away and going to Luke's house sounded like a good idea. These two dated in high school and part way through college until Laina's career began to really take off. Distance doesn't always make the heart grow fonder. Or is it just a lack of communication? Peachwood Falls is going home, and to Luke it's even more so. Luke takes Laina in, no questions asked. But then what? Does Laina lay low? Do these two get the chance to figure out their feelings are still burning? Does Laina go back to her crazy schedule and famous actor husband to be? This is packed with all the good feelings. Adriana Locke gave me the second chance I was hoping for, the fun of he Marshall family, right along with the ribbing that only siblings can give. I listened to this straight through over the holiday weekend because it was that good, giving so many feelings, so much chaos and that complete calm those that you love and love you can give. It's fabulous and leaves me wanting to visit the Marshalls more often.
Lance Greenfield and Shiloh James bring this gem to life and boy what a team! Greenfield is Luke, a little hesitant, and a lot still in love. He is sweet, nostalgic, protective and the kind of man I love, and Greenfield's voice gives him that warm feel. James is Laina, very confused yet very clear, finding her way and figuring her heart. She nails all the feels and gave Laina a fantastic personality. Together I was lost in the story as they performed the story and I loved every minute.

Loved it
Laina and Luke were honestly the absolute cutest! Runaway bride runs off to hide at her ex boyfriend’s house where he keeps her safe from her awful ex-fiancé and even worse father!
Their love story runs deep (before she became famous) and their love and bond for each other hasn’t changed at all. I laughed out loud, had a little cry and shouted at the kindle and the audible!
Narrators were good and the storyline is really good! Hope Gavin’s story is next
