Summary

The Zombie War was the longest and most costly conflict that Britain has ever waged. No one knows the true figure of those who lost their lives in the long years of the war and tragically too many have lost their lives in the years of peace that have followed. Life expectancy is a shadow of what it was and many diseases and ailments that science thought it had eradicated have returned. Many of those who survived the war have since died, taking with them the stories and memories of the most devastating and important struggle that mankind has ever waged. This book is the record of those stories, an attempt to remember the actions of those who lived through this devastating conflict. From the first stages of the outbreak, to the chaos of the mass panic and finally to the death of the last infected, it is a homage to those who saved our nation.

The Zombie War Battle for Britain

Aubrey Parsons over-acted this one I'm afraid, his narration was a little over the top for the story, The Zombie War Battle for Britain is a fantastic book and brings something new to the zombie genre 4 out of 5

World war z?

This book is basically word war z but from a British perspective, but don’t think that this is an insult I thoroughly enjoyed this book and found it to be a very interesting listen, the narrator is very skilled and read the book perfectly, a must for any zombie fan

As good as World War Z!

A tale well written, gripping, a worthy sequel to WWZ, Max Brooks could not have done any better. What happened to the UK during WWZ? listen to this to find out. Aubrey Parson is OK but not a patch on Steven Weber or Will Patton. The cheap looking thumbnail, advertising the book is very poor, should be changed to attract more potential listeners. mentions of the redeker plan and quislings tie it in with WWZ. Well worth using a credit.

World War Z (sort of)

World War Z set entirely in the UK.
Some nods to the original and a few deviances.
on the whole an enjoyable listen but a bit short.

Great localised version of World War Z

I love a good zombie story, and although this format has already been done in World War Z, it's given a lovely local spin.

The audio version is narrated by the fantastic Aubrey Parsons who really brings some depth to all of the different characters / accounts. There was only one issue with the audio version which cut out part way through chapter 24.

There was obviously a lot of thought put into how Britain could contain the zombie apocalypse. I hope you all have your loose plans in place with your families. I know we have ;)
