The festive follow-up to The Rose Queen, from beloved Sunday Times bestselling author Katie Flynn...
Liverpool, 1941: After German bombs shatter the life Cadi has built for herself in Liverpool, she is more determined than ever to sign up and do h bit. Joining the WAAF also means she is closer to her beau—until Jez is sent thousands of miles from home.
While Jez is in Africa, someone from the past starts spreading vicious rumours that could threaten their relationship, and Cadi finds herself torn between keeping secrets and telling the truth to protect those she holds dear.
Cadi has always believed that their love can weather any storm but as the snow sweeps in, she faces an impossible choice. Will her decision leave her broken-hearted or will Cadi and Jez be reunited in time for Christmas?

Different Somehow!
Every single Katie Flynn's books
have been wonderful. I have loved every single one of them
except, these two. I haven't loved these two, I thought they were slow and too long. I was hoping to hear the good old
Liverpudlian accent as always,
I know it said two Welsh girls,
but, I have nothing against
Welsh people just not keen on
the Welsh accent. I like listening
to Katie Flynn's books with Liverpool accents. I come from
The Island of Jersey and not alot of people do and don't like
my accent when I had it. I lived
in the north for along time then
I now live in Suffolk. I think these stories are good, just slow
apart from about certain things,
like Eric and Izzy etc. BUT, saying that, I did find my myself smiling alot in places especially
at the end when I was conscious of it so you did do
something right.👍

Two very good stories The Rose Queen and The Winter Rose I recommend to other listeners as you follow the lives of all the characters their good and bad times during war time in Liverpool and the girls who joined the military service.
