About this listen
Layla Robinson is not crazy. She is suffering from unrequited love. But it's time to move on. No more stalking, no more obsessive calling.
What she needs is a distraction. The blue-eyed guy she keeps seeing around campus could be a great one - only he is the new poetry professor - the married poetry professor.
Thomas Abrams is a stereotypical artist - rude, arrogant, and broody - but his glares and taunts don't scare Layla. She might be bad at poetry, but she is good at reading between the lines. Beneath his prickly façade, Thomas is lonely, and Layla wants to know why. Obsessively.
Sometimes you do get what you want. Sometimes you end up in the storage room of a bar with your professor and you kiss him. Sometimes he kisses you back like the world is ending and he will never get to kiss you again. He kisses you until you forget the years of unrequited love; you forget all the rules, and you dare to reach for something that is not yours.

Loved this!
This book was fantastic, the audio narration was superb and they really brought the characters to life. This was my first read by Saffron and definitely won't be my last!

This girl is crazy! Crazy great maybe!!
So! This story, this love story about a frustrated college professor and his student is obviously smoking hot but so much more.
The psychological evolution from especially the female main character is well described but only through self insight and internal diakogue by this girl. At the beginning i thought she was crazy, but ending the story i kind of like her. She is very pure in her emotional state of being. He is ultimately the one who needs to catch up. I will not spoil, but when in doubt; go read this banger! I loved it!

I absolutely loved this book!
Such a beautifully written book where you're really drawn into the main character Layla's perspective. I couldn't put the book down and finished the whole thing in 24 hours! The spice was phenomenal, the story was addictive and the narrators were wonderful. Highly recommend.

Made me cringe
I expected more. Unfortunately for me not worth the money I paid or hype. No plot twist, not much spice either.

DNF - What a waste of good reading time
I really wanted to love this but the author is as pretentious as her whiney MC.
