Summary

When a college professor is murdered on his fishing boat, his estranged granddaughter, Maggie, races to uncover the deadly secrets he'd been protecting.

Her journey leads her on a breadcrumb trail across the country in a desperate cloak-and-dagger search for her grandfather's final research notes.

Maggie soon discovers that there are others joining the chase who have little regard for human life and who will stop at nothing to prevent Maggie from getting to the research first.

As Maggie mourns the loss of her grandfather, she must fend off the ruthless thugs sent to eliminate her. How will she find the covert research in time and escape her own death?

Highly addictive and action-packed, The Trenton Legacy is a fast-paced, suspense thriller you'll want to share with friends.

The Trenton Legacy

This was a really good story. Some of the characters were sympathetic,I liked Liam. Amy Williams was an ok narator.Sometimes she nailed it but most of her voices seemed screechy and overplayed to me.She has a nice reading voice. I was given this book by the narrator, author or publisher free for an honest review.

Gripping

I really enjoyed this listen, the story gripped me from the first page and kept me engaged right through to the end. Maggie & Tim were likeable characters and Samuel's legacy is ever present through his granddaughter. A good thriller brought to life by the narrator. I would listen to other books narrated by Amy Williams and look forward to reading more from Dale Ripley. Generally I prefer to try to work out who the baddies are, but in spite of knowing fairly early on in the story, it didn't spoil the book. Recommended.

Great Thriller!

The Trenton Legacy by Dale Ripley packs a punch. I was totally immersed in the story of Maggie. There are some cliche things, but I enjoyed them. I really liked how the story moved along and kept my attention. The narration by Amy Williams was very well done. She added the right emotions. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.

Lots of Potential.

The central plot of the novel is a good one. The characters needed a little more fattening up, they were a little cliché and one dimensional. The story wondered around a little between a mystery, a crime and a Boys Own adventure. The narration was good. It would have benefitted from stronger editing but was a reasonable listen. It would be interesting to see if the second book in the series improves.
