Summary

H.G. Wells, one of the world's earliest and most celebrated science-fiction authors, created a number of unforgettable classics of the genre, including The Invisible Man, War of the Worlds, The First Men on the Moon, and many more.

Here, we present a two-volume collection of Wells' most celebrated classics of science-fiction and horror: The Time Machine and The Island of Doctor Moreau. This audio-enhanced version - with sound effects and musical soundtrack - combines Wells' groundbreaking exploration of time travel with his "youthful blasphemy" tale of animal and human hybrids.

Enjoy both classics in one complete volume!

Classic Sci-Fi - Double the Fun

These were great. I've been meaning to read The Time Machine for many a year now and always got sidetracked so to find the audio was a great find for me. Having the Island of Doctor Moreau on it was purely bonus.

I love old sci-fi, and although these haven't dated that well, they are still excellent reads. Highly recommend.

Classic Tales, well told...

Really enjoyed these two classics from H. G. Wells.
Kevin Theis really brings the two tales to life, and provides superbly committed and meaningful narration to the stories.
This is my first experience of Kevin's narration, and.was most impressed.

I was given this copy for free, in return for an honest review.

American but still great

H.G. Wells has been one of my favorite authors for years as a teenager The Time Machine was one book I read and reread. But I'm no longer a teenager. Coming back to these stories after so long felt like coming home. They are two of the foundation of modern literature influence everything from Harry Potter to Jurassic Park.

The story are all set within London sociatily so its a little jaring to hear them read with an American accent but after a bit I got used to it. It felt as though the reader understood the stories and love them just as much as I.
