Summary
His mission was seduction—not falling in love.
When young Sebastian Brambani meets a sexy and exciting older man, he's easily seduced. But for spy Kyle Grant, it's all business. Sebastian is simply a pawn in Kyle's mission to acquire a dangerous chemical weapon from Sebastian's criminal father. Kyle's life is his work for a shadowy international agency protecting the world from evil, and he can't worry about what will happen to Sebastian when the job is done.
Sebastian's unwitting role in Kyle's plan is the last straw for his ruthless father, who has been embarrassed by his gay son for the last time. But when Kyle discovers Sebastian could be the key to finding the deadly Chimera, he rescues him from his father's hitman and fights to keep him alive. Can a hardened spy and naïve college student take down a criminal kingpin, stay one step ahead of the killers on their trail—and fight the scorching attraction between them?

Great read - They have amazing chemistry 🫶🏼❤️🔥
I really enjoyed this book, listened to it in one sitting because I needed to know what happened!
I especially loved Sebastian and Kyle’s chemistry. Even when Kyle was trying to hold him at arms length he couldn’t help but ensure Seb was ok, felt reassured and safe.
The back and forth of sexual tension in between hatred on Sebs part at the beginning was really hot! And I wish those first few chapters were a little longer because I wanted so much more want and pining 😄
I detest Sebastian’s dad and his crew, awful vile people especially when we found out what he did to Sebs mum and then the hit put on a certain person 🤯 I cannot believe anyone can do that to not only a stranger but your own flesh and blood 🤬
This world honestly scares me daily, the amount of hate, abuse, toxicity and evil that continues to happen day to day is barbaric.
Really enjoyed the story itself though, very well written and narrated.
The only thing that irked me a bit was the whole Stallion scene, I don’t like to yuck anyone’s yum but after knowing how male horses are forced and tied up onto females for money daily and then reading this scene not only in this story but the pirate one a few days ago also was a bit of strange kink imo.
Apart from that, i can’t wait to read the next books I have on my list by this author

Read by the best narrator!
Great story, fast paced. Happy Ending. Needs more. I looked into the Authors other books and played the samples however I didn't like the other narrators. Joel Leslie Froomkin is the best on Audible!

Fast and Furious Affair
Wow ! Seat belt required for this fast and furious affair encompassing all the elements of a true spy book, including cocktail parties, tuxedos, priceless art, hidden safes, baddies selling deadly viruses, spy skills and craft, train roof chase across europe and code breaking. Our MCs clash and reclash, proximity not breeding contempt. Their close mortal combat sparks physics and physical reactions. This is a true action thriller.
The master spy turns master and teacher who then gets Pi in his face. The heat and intimacy is handled well, and reminds one of what a good wordsmith this author is.
Joel Leslie is not my favourite narrator, and I was loath to start this book for that reason, but he does a fantastic job here. I had to slow the narration to 0.9, as it was really too fast, but it adds impetus and emphasis to the fast paced plot. When I got to the end I gave a mental phew as you feel you've really gone through it at every step just like the MCs have.
I took a break before listening to the bonus novella included.
UNEXPECTEDLY ENJOYABLE, thanks Audible for the freebee.

Espionage and spicy sausage gnaws
Steamy. No. Super spicy. A very naughty couple of spy guys herein. A bit too long though. The story went on and on, and then there was a novella at the end! Good enough thrill seeking gun bangery though.

Fun Fluff Piece
Take a huge breath because this is relentless escapades and sexcapades from beginning to end!! Keira Andrews trademarks are present including the one l despise (farm animal as instruction for the virgin protagonist); the one l eye roll (virgin with a sex workers' expertise); and the one l love (charismatic female character). If you have read Kidnapped by the Pirate (which l do not recommend) then you have met the characters and know the plot progression but this is waaaaay better!
🎧 Joel Leslie takes a loud audible gasp at the start of every sentence but when l slow the speed to 0.9X, it is not as unpleasant and the overall performance is better for it. The narrator's voice has a tremor but Kyle's vocals are almost free of it which improves listenability. Mr Leslie's accents - Danish, English, German, French, Italian - are a joy! JL's sense of timing and use of tone to signal shifts or foreshadowing is also on point. Usually a deterrent for me, Joel's narration is fun!

Just okay
This was one of the most instant insta love stories I have ever read, but it was still fun enough to listen to and the narrator did quite well with the accents.

Evil in the family
Homophobic father without a heart, what a terrifying thought and this is what this is the start of an exciting love story that gets better as it goes along to an interesting end, sadly it comes to an end and you wish it would carry on.
