About this listen
For the first time, Regan Gallagher is facing the world without her best friend by her side—no, Sutton isn't dead but she is in Rome, following her dreams. And Regan really is thrilled for her. Left to her own devices, she's doing . . . fine.
Oh, except for the fact that her new roommate, Emma Bordeaux, has hated Regan since the literal day they'd met two years ago. Sure, most of their interactions end in disaster and Regan is the root cause, but they are all accidents! She'll win Emma over though; she's determined to make this living arrangement work come hell or high water.
Emma never planned on finding herself living with the most frustrating person she'd ever met, but for rent this low, she's positive that she can put up with anything Regan throws her way.
What she isn't sure she can handle is her mom returning to her life, wanting to bond with Emma. She definitely doesn't know how to manage her mom believing that she and Regan are a couple. And she doesn't want to deal with the fact that Regan seems far too into acting the part.
Perhaps the most daunting aspect of all is realizing that she might have been wrong about Regan all along . . .

Amazing
it's amazing to see the universe growing and all the characters from the other books popping up!

Another home-run for Haley Cass
This story grips you from the beginning, especially if you already know the characters from Those who wait. Again Haley has created characters that feels so real and human, who you laugh, cry and everything else in between with. Despite this being one of the longest stories Haley has written, it doesn't feel like that. It gets you invested in the characters development and growth. I truly loved it from beginning to end 🥰
And Lori Prince is outstanding as always in her narration 🤩

The wait was worth it!
Objectively speaking i think this is Haley Cass's best work to date (My personal fav' being On the Same Page, but thats because i LOVE best friends to lovers trope). Both Emma and Regan have very strong personalities, huge sunshine/grumpy trope vibes. Regan is impossible not to love, while Emma takes a moment but at the turning point she too becomes just as fun and loveable in her own way as Regan.
This book feels like Haley Cass has really gotten a better hold on her humour and pacing, her other works for me at times could drag a bit to long or some weren't particularly funny even when they would try to be. Here though, 10/10 i have no complaints. Though i have yet to find a Sapphic romance author who makes me laugh as much as Robin Alexanders books do, other than her The Snowball Effect here is one of the funnier audiobooks ive listened to in a long while. Binged this book in a day. I couldn't stop listening.

A full bodied sapphic universe coming to life!
Another brilliant book from Haley Cass, the universe built in ‘Those who wait’ continues and doesn’t disappoint! It was so nice hearing more of Regans and Emma’s story still including Charlotte and Sutton in that too! Lori Prince is brilliant as always too!

Opposites attract
A thoroughly entertaining slow burn love story about a gregarious women house sharing with an extremely reserved woman
