About this listen
The Revolting Bridesmaid
When Katie's sister, Gillian, announces that she is marrying the appalling Christopher, Katie is horrified. When she realises she will have to be a bridesmaid, she feels sick! She is to have a boring teacher for a brother-in-law, and she'll have to wear a frilly blue dress....
The Revolting Wedding
Katie's promise to be on her best behaviour goes horribly wrong as she tumbles headlong into the wedding cake before the celebrations have even begun. Deciding that discovery would mean certain death, the resourceful bridesmaid hatches a desperate plan to cover up The Great Cake Disaster.

Great recording of a great story
What did you like most about The Revolting Bridesmaid & The Revolting Wedding?
This was a really funny audiobook. The character's are very realistic and Eve Karpf's narration brings out a lot of the humour of the book. It's really one book split into two volumes, with both linking simultaneously into each other. A really great listen!
What other book might you compare The Revolting Bridesmaid & The Revolting Wedding to, and why?
It's similar in narrative style to books by Jacqueline Wilson, but less dark perhaps. The character of Katie, with her sarcastic sense of humour seems like an older Horrid Henry or perhaps a modern Just William.
What about Eve Karpf’s performance did you like?
Eve Karpf as ever gave a really good reading. She really drew out the humour of the book and give each character a distinct voice.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This book really made me laugh, as Katie got deeper and deeper into the mess that she had made for herself.
