About this listen
In this stunning conclusion to the After The Rift series, Josie and her friends return home to find Glancia on the brink of war and their enemies in power. With political machinations and court intrigue bringing danger at every turn, they must tread carefully. But being careful won’t bring resolutions and answers. It won’t bring back lost memories or stop the nation hurtling into war.
The only thing that can make everything right is the ultimate sacrifice. But will Josie make it?
At the heart of it all is the magic that stole the memories of so many. The magic that some people will do anything to get their hands on. In a palace full of lies and betrayal, Josie and her friends must be careful who they can trust – or suffer the consequences.
The Return of Absent Souls is the final book in the After The Rift series. The books in order are:
- #1 The Palace of Lost Memories
- #2 The Echo of Broken Dreams
- #3 The Whisper of Silenced Voices
- #4 The Temple of Forgotten Secrets
- #5 The Prison of Buried Hopes
- #6 The Return of Absent Souls

Swoon! What a perfect ending to a great series!
Oh how I have enjoyed all six books of this gripping and magical series. The characters are well drawn and very engaging; Kitty and Eric are hilarious! If you're a fan of fantasy and romance you should definitely give this series a try.

Thoroughly Enjoyable Listen
I really enjoyed listening to this Series. The Characters are well thought out and engagable (if that’s a word!!)
Very entertaining and the Narrator is excellent. She draws you into the stories absolutely and her range of voices for all of the characters is amazing. You never get mixed up with who is speaking as she makes each character totally distinctive.
A really good listen that I have no hesitation in recommending to anyone that loves fantasy romance.

It’s been a long time since I enjoyed a series as much as this! I’m not really into fantasy, but am more a murder mystery reader...but wow! CJ Archer May have changed my mind! All 5 books were SO believable and kept me gripped and Marian Hussey’s narration bought every character to life!!....can not recommend this series enough...Bravo :-)
