GRIPPING AND FILLED WITH HOLD YOUR BREATH MOMENTS! D.J. MOLLES YOU SMASHED IT!
A masterpiece in this genre where there is a real mix of surface content. It pulls you into the story, your head, your heart, adrenaline inducing! What a pleasure it is to enjoy such an epic series. I cannot recommend this enough, I’m wordless to explain the quality of the writing here.. it’s in a league of its own. My second time around with this series I cannot get enough! Thanks DJM!

Hooked
Brilliant series. Totally hooked from the start. Much more than the run of the mill end of world books. Highly recommend.

Phenomenal series…
Deep story, strong characters. Each book fresh as can be in a follow on series. The best audiobook series I have listened to, all given atmosphere from the brilliant Christian Rummel.

Running out of story
I have listened to all the previous books in this series and they were good, not the best zombie novels but by no means the worst, however this book it would appear goes no where with either the story or the plot. Very much same old same old and left me feeling cheated

An Acceptable Continuation of a Great Series.
I generally use this series as my easy listening 'zone-out and run on the treadmill book' but for those of your expecting the rather fast paced and action packed nature of the preceding titles in this series then I am afraid that you may be disappointed.
This book seems to act as a vehicle for the author to set up the events of the next book and to delve into the motivations of the characters in more detail than he has previously. That is not to say that I was bored for a moment but neither was I as enthralled as I have been with the other books in this series.
If this book is the quiet before the storm of the finale of the series then it may prove to be worthwhile but if D.J. Molles is intending to churn out three or four more books in this series then perhaps it is bad time for the narrative to run out of steam. I honestly have no idea when he intends to end the series and nor can I find any details online (so I suppose time will tell) but I hope the end is in sight.
Christian Rummel, as always, puts in a good performance.
