Summary

A novel that tackles the question: Do I truly do the Jesus thing – or do I stay safe? In obedience to a divine Nudge, 47-year-old Allison Chamberlain buys a Harley and waits for further instructions. Those instructions turn her into a reluctant prophet who points out the narrow fears of her church group and take her into the darkest parts of her city.

It’ll Touch Your Very Core!

Okay, so you know Jesus, accepted him and all. Then what? What do you do with him?

This for me was, at first, was an unsure read. With hindsight, I now appreciate the slow, unalluring, ordinary beginning. Because that’s what life can be for a long while as a Christian...
But when we embrace both our faith and purpose, even against the odds, against what we know or are familiar with, we can reach unimaginable depths and lengths in our life with God. And yes, it may be fiction, but it reflects the reality around us today and God knows, He’s engineered real life events of greater magnitude and wonder.
This book is thought provoking, stimulating and so encouraging as it explores the issues of what it means to accept and live in Jesus Christ. A thoroughly enjoyable read; a true blessing.
God bless you, Nancy Rue.

Loved it, was scared at first

I was scared at first, sometimes I feel like a reluctant prophet, the sense of if I read this I'm going to have to change was large so I read another book, when I finished that one there was no where for me to hide, this story chased me held me down, calmed me down and made me say OK God here I am send me, I know if you're in it if will be OK, the writer is wonderfully cheeky and real and encourages you to be you, the story is a treasure, if your a Christian and want to be useful. Read "the reluctant prophet". It will make you stand up and be counted, it has humour, danger, heartbreak, reconciliation, LOVE, and God's help & assurance all over it.

Captivating read!

Absolutely brilliantly written novel that had me captivated from the moment the audiobook began. As brilliant as the writing is, Kirsten Potter brings this book to life with her brilliant narration........ well there's 3 'brilliants' in one paragraph, must be good.
