About this listen
In Oregon's Willamette Valley, former pilot Michael Havel's Bearkillers are warriors of renown. Their closest ally, the mystical Clan MacKenzie, is led by Wiccan folksinger Juniper MacKenzie. Their leadership has saved countless lives.
But not every leader has altruistic aspirations. Norman Arminger, medieval scholar, rules the Protectorate. He has enslaved civilians, built an army, and spread his forces from Portland through most of western Washington State. Now he wants the Willamette Valley farmland, and he's willing to wage war to conquer it.
Unknown to both factions, however, is the imminent arrival of a ship from Tasmania bearing British soldiers.

Builds on the first book and keeps getting better.
Takes all the stuff I liked in the first book, keeps it and adds more.

Interesting saga spoilt by narrator
I did enjoy these 1st 2 books in this series, but I just can’t bring myself to pay for the rest due the the narrators inability to properly pronounce many of the simplest of words. Did the author not listen before this was released? The British place names I can understand an American getting wrong but if your job is to narrate wouldn’t you at least do some research? Many of the Gaelic words are also mispronounced. And I’d wager the medieval references are too but my knowledge of those is limited.
It’s a shame as his range of voices and rhythm is excellent
