About this listen
Charlaine Harris, the number one New York Times best-selling author of the Sookie Stackhouse novels and the Harper Connelly Mysteries, and New York Times best-selling author Christopher Golden present The Pretenders GraphicAudio Production - first in a brand-new trilogy.
She calls herself Calexa Rose Dunhill - names taken from the grim surroundings where she awoke, bruised and bloody, with no memory of who she is, how she got there, or who left her for dead.
She has made the cemetery her home, living in a crypt and avoiding human contact. But Calexa can’t hide from the dead - and because she can see spirits, they can’t hide from her.
Then one night, Calexa spies a group of teenagers vandalizing a grave - and watches in horror as they commit murder. As the victim’s spirit rises from her body, it flows into Calexa, overwhelming her mind with visions and memories not her own.
Now Calexa must make a decision: continue to hide to protect herself - or come forward to bring justice to the sad spirit who has reached out to her for help....

Great, but too short!
I really like these audio dramatisations, but the episodes in this particular series are far too short to spend a credit on them. I was happy to listen to this as an included download, but can’t see myself paying for the remaining episodes as they are not good value for money.

Entertaining
An entertaining short story, well narrated by the participating voice actors. Will be listening to the second and third stories hoping to find out who the Cemetery Girl is.

Very interesting but
Not as much fun as the Sookie Stackhouse series. This has less sex and more drama, quite serious in tone but it is still good. Ms Harris has talent.

BORING
After thirteen minutes we switched off. It is a freebie and understandable. A woman blurting on and on and nothing happens.
