Summary
In 1562, Michel de Nostradamus led a small party on an expedition deep into the hostile Desert of Barbary, now known as the Sahara. Without any knowledge of what they might find, the small party entered the vast desert in search of a miracle.
In the present day, Dr. Zara Delacroix enlists the help of Sam Reilly to hunt for answers about a book she believes was buried in the Sahara centuries earlier to protect humanity from some great catastrophe. This ancient manuscript was named The Book of Nostradamus.

Intriguing Plot and African Location
Another rattling good listen for lovers of conspiracy and adventure. The team, led by Sam Reilly, are trying to crack a Nostradamus prediction and save the lives of lithium miners in the Congo. Lots of plot twists and intertwined threads to unravel in this fast paced, action packed mystery adventure. Highly recommended audiobook with great narration.

Zara accent like family fingers down chalkboard
Decent desert romp marred by the narrator’s horrible effort at Zara’s accent. She’s French but sounded very German and a very poor take on German throughout.

A series similar to old style Adventure Novels
I love these books.
To me, the style these books are written in is reminiscent of the old style adventure novelists like H. Rider Haggard - who wrote King Solomons Mines and its sequel plus many other novels.
The author kindly gave me a free copy of book three and I was only halfway through listening to it when I knew I had to stop and read the first two before I finished it and was very happy to find this compilation.
If you want an adventure story that is just that without the gory bits that often are added to modern novels just to colour it but don't actually add to the story.
I have now listened to all six available on Audible and am sad the rest of the series so far is not available via Audible. I hope they read this review and consider adding them as listening via Kindle is just not the same.

just wasnt for me
When I started this book I was unaware that it was the 6th installment of a series and there was no indication of that on the cover. Maybe if I had read the previous books I would have been more inclined to like this one. In my opinion at times it was far too descriptive and I felt that the author was going off on a tangent. The storyline started off with promise but soon fell into ridiculousness. I'm sorry to say that this book was just not for me but I'm sure many others would enjoy it . I was given this book by the author/narrator in return for an honest and unbiased review
