Question your prejudices
Takes a long look at how Muslims are treated by British society, politicians and the media in a post-9/11 world. Very good at identifying, investigating and debunking many of the prevalent myths, stereotypes and misunderstandings. What it is great at is suggesting what needs to be done to tackle this - unlike a lot of books which throw some weak half-baked ideas in in the final chapter, Khan actually takes time in each chapter to point out what needs to change and how it could. the final chapter then sums up but also suggests practical ways for British people to implement that change. Thorough and vital.

inspiring
this was a powerful book for me. I don't know where it will lead me but I feel a better person for reading it. my decisions will be my own.

Your not allowed to make it up
I really needed what I thought this book was about.you see I’ve just listened to ‘The Strange Deathof Europe’ by Douglas Murray and I needed an antidote to his negativity hatred and despair. This book was doing it for me, but I soon understood that I wasn’t getting kosher Islamic view of current affairs but rather a wishful westernised view of what the author thinks Islam should be.
Islam is a religion like every other, that teaches one to build a relationship with God. So far so good. Unfortunately it also contains some hard unpopular truths, the author seems to want to jettison these make Islam fit into Europe more easily. I stuck it out to the end but it was hard work. What was also annoying was the presenter mispronouncing certain Islamic phrases, which just highlighted how far he is from the living faith.
