Summary

The voice of modern women is back! Perfect for fans of Milly Johnson and Jill Mansell.

‘More than funny, it’s true!’ Elle

After sixteen years of marriage, Nate and Sinead Turner have a nice life. They like their jobs, they like their house and they love their son Flynn. Yes, it’s a very nice life.

Or, at least Nate thinks so. Until, one morning, he wakes to find Sinead gone and a note lying on the kitchen table listing all the things he does wrong or doesn’t do at all.

Nate needs to show Sinead he can be a better husband – fast. But as he works through Sinead’s list, his life changes in unexpected ways. And he starts to wonder whether he wants them to go back to normal after all. Could there be more to life than nice?

Needs a better title

I almost skipped over this one as the title seemed a bit clumsy but the story, told from different perspectives, was much better than expected.

good book which made me laugh and cringe

enjoyed the story but mainly the parts read as Nate. Sinead's voice sounded far too young and soft for a woman in her 40s and wasn't believable and sort of spoiled it. found it hard to sympathise with the character because of this. Loved Loved Loved Nates character and the narrator was fab. Didn't really think the book title suited the story however. It was predominantly Nate's story not 'mums'. it was a Dad who tried to get it all back!

Not her best/ or was it me?

It was still a good book, but it seemed a bit slow. Sometimes the characters sounded different to what they did before. It wasn't hard to finish, but I thought the story was a bit simple, Flynn should have had more parts in the story I think.

Loved it!

There is something very warm and charming about the author's style of writing. It is so nice to have a down to earth believable story presented by fantastic narrators.

So enjoyable

I am going to give 5 stars to this audiobook version.
Purely because I enjoyed it so much.
I was expecting another story about a rotten husband and how his wife left him, but this was refreshingly different.
The story goes into each of the characters sides of things, their difficulties and the reasons for what they have done/ choose to do to change. It is amusing without being corny and just ended up being a lovely story.
The multiple narration works really well.

Very enjoyable

This is the third book of Fiona Gibson's, and have not been disappointed with this one. This book bubbles along effortlessly with very believable characters and story line. This book is set out slightly different in that as the story progresses each character tells their story from their point of view in that moment, and there's a different narrator for each character which made it easier to immerse myself into the story and identify with the characters. Highly recommend
