Summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

Penguin presents the audio edition of Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief, read by the actor Jesse Bernstein.

Half boy. Half God. All Hero.

Look, I didn't want to be a half-blood. I never asked to be the son of a Greek God.

I was just a normal kid, going to school, playing basketball, skateboarding. The usual. Until I accidentally vaporzsed my maths teacher. Now I spend my time battling monsters and generally trying to stay alive.

This is the one where Zeus, God of the Sky, thinks I've stolen his lightning bolt - and making Zeus angry is a very bad idea.

Why annoying narrator, why?

Why such a annoying narrator? And was it the full story? 3hrs that seems short it took me about 10 hours to read the actual book. Make sure you make it clear that you reading the full book and not half of it.

Not clear this was abridged version!

That was a waste of money for an abridged version - would have been nice if it was marked CLEARLY as much.
The narration was also really annoying with all of the background sound effects.
Butchered a good story.

Terrible narrator

Would you try another book written by Rick Riordan or narrated by Walter Lewis?

We were really excited for this book, but the narrators voice was nauseating! Couldn't get past the first 20 minutes. Very disappointing. Waste of money

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

A different narrator.
