Summary

Broke ex-waitresses aren’t supposed to have archenemies.
Seriously, that kind of crap is way above our pay grade.

We certainly aren’t supposed to have multiple supernatural beings competing for the title of “scariest nemesis.” Yet, that’s where I find myself, now that the last vampire on Earth is no longer the last vampire on Earth.

Ransley Thorpe turned his closest friend in a last-ditch effort to save his life. Now all three of us have targets painted on our backs, and the powerful demon who might be able to protect us is the last person in the three realms we should trust.

To survive, we’ll have to rekindle old alliances and rely on friends who have only the barest conception of the danger they’re about to face. One thing is crystal clear - even if we succeed in holding our enemies at bay, my life is about to change in ways I could never have foreseen.

As the only demon/fae/human hybrid in existence, I thought I had problems before.
Silly me. It turns out, I didn’t know when I was well off.

The Last Vampire is a steamy urban fantasy romance series from USA Today bestseller R. A. Steffan and Jaelynn Woolf, co-authors of the Circle of Blood saga.

Order book five today, and enter a world shared by humans, fae, demons, and one very reluctant vampire. It’s a place where the supernatural threatens the mundane, nothing is as it seems, and love will either be the world’s downfall - or its salvation.

Great ending to a great series

I'm not usually a vampire fan in books, but this series isn't like your average vampire saga, this is how RA Steffen does vampires!

So Many Changes

I had a hard time writing my review for book four in this series without giving away too much of the plot, things like the fact that Guthrie is now a vampire, Rans had to turn him to save his life. The demon who his life force is bound to left him for dead him to get back at Rans and Zorah, we also found out that Guthrie's DNA was used by the demon when she/he had sex with her grandmother making Guthrie Zorah’s grandfather, so we have the fallout from that to deal with in this book.

The fae make another appearance in this book and it looks like there is going to be a showdown between demons and fae of epic proportions. We also meet again Len, Zorha's friend from earlier books but things aren't going well for him since Rans wiped Tris' memory.

As this isn’t a series you can start anywhere I recommend that you start at the beginning, it is worth taking the time as the story just keeps getting better and better.

As I've come to expect with these books the ending is a massive cliffhanger with yet another surprise for us the listener - I can't say more without spoiling this book for you. I will say I can't wait to listen to book six!

Gwendolyn Druyor does an incredible job with this book, as she always does. I can't praise her skill highly enough.

I was given this audiobook as a gift and am voluntarily writing my review.

Can't stop even if I wanted

Audiobook narrated by Gwendolyn Druyor, overall good. This one picks up after book 4, the series is so good at this point I just need to keep on hearing it, this one got so many twists I didn't see coming. Loving the characters even more, and definitely getting to know them better and how everything is panning out to be in their world. Fantastic world-building.
