Summary
How do you solve a murder when everyone's a suspect?
Tormented by the recent loss of a colleague, DCI Jack Logan is on the warpath, determined to bring down all those he holds responsible for the officer's death.
His quest for revenge is cut short when a woman's body turns up on the remote island of Canna, and Jack is summoned to investigate. As a storm closes in, Jack finds himself cut-off from the rest of the world, with no car, no phone signal, and only DC Neish for company.
With time running out before the ferries resume, Jack must act fast to crack the case before the killer can escape. But with the victim widely hated on the island, everyone on it is a potential suspect.

Best one yet
This book is more character driven than some of the earlier ones. And possibly believable. Unlike a few other reviewers I had no problem with the swearing- found it pretty funny actually… and not that out of keeping with the way some people express themselves! Otherwise good patter, and the Aussie accent wasn’t even terrible.

Loved it, some funny funny one liners that made me laugh out loud. I feel like I know the characters so well now, totally absorbing.

Incredible
This book is fantastic. How JD Kirk writes is excellent. How he manages to tell a story that has such gory details but with such a skill to leave you laughing out loud, is amazing. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. DCI Logan is such a character and narrated with such skill. Fabulous

Absolutely brilliant!
Angus King narrates this DCI Logan series superbly and really brings the characters to life. I have read this whole series and am now really enjoying the audio series which gives the stories a wonderful new dimension. On to the next one!

Another great story by J D Kirk who never disappoints. The twist at end means I now have to down load his next book and I am really looking forward to reading it. Angus who narrated for these books is perfect to listen to.
