Summary

Appearances can be deceptive—this is a book like no other. It contains untold riches—every word a tiny particle of story from the universe of His Dark Materials, made alive for us by the writer's imagination.

Every word will give you an exciting new glimpse into Lyra's world. Every word will give you an astonishing insight into the storytelling mind of Philip Pullman.

So step into the imagination chamber. Listen carefully; linger over each story particle. And be amazed by what you find.

A few sweepings from the cutting room floor.

This consists of a few disconnected odds and ends padded out with an interview with the author and members of the TV adaption crew recorded at a literary festival. Never in the history of literature has an author asked his readers to put their hands in their pockets and stump up their hard-earned for such a meagre offering. For die hard fans only.

Disgusted

Terrible feel very cheated having paid for this book thinking it was as released in line with the new series to find it’s a load of ramblings about why Philip Pullman write the books !!
