Summary

The town is gripped by a big freeze, and blizzard after blizzard has engulfed the feline community, leaving shops and businesses snowbound. Hettie Bagshot and her sidekick, Tilly Jenkins, have found sanctuary by their fireside, but soon they are bucketed into a terrifying nightmare, called to investigate the disappearance of the town's kittens as - one by one - they are taken in the snow. Who are the strange cats living in Wither-Fork Woods?

Will the ancient prophecy of the Ice Maid's Tail become a reality? And can Hettie and Tilly defrost the fish fingers in time for tea? Join them as they slip and slide their way through another frost-biting case for The No. 2 Feline Detective Agency.

Gripped until the end

I can’t believe that I haven’t got another book to go onto in this series. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every minute of each book; the plot, which is complex but properly resolved (which unfortunately isn’t the case in some books!). The narrator is superb. These books are so unusual and clever, Mandy Morton writes in a fashion that excludes humans and it’s totally convincing throughout. Just brilliant.

Superb

Brilliant story, narration is absolutely fantastic. I could listen to Mandy’s books on continual replay, her story-telling is amazing and her characters are so believable they almost feel like friends. And despite the high body count, and the imaginative ways in which her victims meet their ends, the world of Hetty and Tilly is just so much nicer than our real world!

Pure joy.

I read the first of these books with some misgivings, but I was so pleasantly surprised, these are not at all ‘cutesy’ which I was most afraid of.
The stories are excellent, funny and generally kept me guessing the characters are wonderful and most certainly cats. And the narration couldn’t be better. All in all the best series of books I’ve listened to for a very long time.

JOY JOY JOY JOY!!

I'm working my way through the series and it's truly delightful...with the odd bit of murder and the macabre. A character obsessed with cleaning has kitnapped some kittens and called them Camay, Comfort, Omo and Daz.... These books make me smile..... Oh and they make me hungry for a Butters steak and kidney pie and cream horn!!! At the risk of repeating myself, I wholeheartedly recommend!!!
