Summary

On January 22, 1945, a secret weapon of unimaginable power was brought from the quiet town of Haigerloch in Germany’s southwest and loaded onto a plane waiting at Stuttgart. Less than a dozen people knew of the weapon’s existence, and even less knew where it was being taken.

The aircraft, its crew, and its remarkable cargo were never seen again. Until now. When the wreckage of the aircraft is located in present day Washington, DC, with no sign of its deadly cargo on board, Sam Reilly is called in to investigate. But the situation soon erupts into something much more dangerous than a simple recovery mission....

WW2 Atomic Bomb Threatens Washington DC.

A failed mission by Germany, during WW2, to drop an atomic bomb on Washington DC creates and opportunity, for an unknown terrorist, to use the devise to threaten Washington DC today. Sam Reilly is challenged in a deadly game, by the terrorist, if he fails Washington DC will be erased. This is another very well written novel featuring Sam and his team enhanced by great narration. I loved the plot and the historic and technical detail.
