Summary
Contains books one and two of the hit Russian LitRPG series The Heavenly Throne.
Force Cultivation, book one
He was the young, handsome, and rich champion of underground fighting in his world. Recognized world champions were no match for him. He had her; the love of his life. He lived for her and for battle. However, in an instant, it was all gone. He lost his life and his name. His dreams were taken away from him. The one he had been in love with since childhood had betrayed him and plunged a knife into his heart.
In another world, very different and distant, a boy lying in a muddy ditch suddenly opens his eyes. A new life has been awakened in his empty body. What will he do with an offer for a second chance at life?
In a world where your worth is determined by your martial arts, what path will Kai follow in a world where power and skill reign supreme?
The Way of the Force, book two
True force unleashes one's inner power. It determines the strength of martial arts practitioners.
Kai found a new life, a new home, and even a new family in a world vastly different from his own. However, he lost it all in a blink of an eye. Life as he knew it was gone overnight. But before he allowed rage and despair to overcome him, he discovered an ancient city and got a chance for revenge.
Now his path leads east, to the capital of the Alkea Empire, to his sister, Julie, and the strongest sect in the country that could aid him in the development of his strength and skills in a world ruled by martial arts.

Enjoyed both
So I waited for the third book to listen to both and really enjoyed both it is kinda odd having a book read to you by Fred if I had a complaint it is that so many throw away characters get names. Asian names are hard enough for me to keep straight without that not a real issue both just some constructive criticism if the author reads these and I look forward to the next book you write

What can I say I’m reading this again
I just decided to buy book 4 so I had to re-read this book. Great story and world build…it feels a bit litRPG and a bit progression fantasy so it’s interesting… the cube has me intrigued. Onwards to book 3

Absolutely Great
Suffice, I extremely dubious about getting this book. Having listened to RPG stories in the past strongly influenced my bias toward this genre. How wrong can one be? I particularly enjoy fantasy although, not all fantasies are equal. Whilst being a RPG story with the odd reference to stats it is actually another generic boy who seeks his gifts or skills and in so doing as adventures along the way. Those adventures in this book out weigh the stories of the likes of many highly acclaimed authors of the fantasy genre. This book ticks all the boxes with plots, sword fighting, adventures of which there are many, characters one can actually warm too suffice its truly gritty. I firmly believe that many will avoid this simply because of the RPG in the title but, if this had been written by Raymond E Feist for examply, one couldn’t wait to acquire the next book in the series - as I cannot wait... Now, this is an audio book review thus, what of the narration? Superb! The narrator is a chap I’ve not had the good fortune to have come across. He simply put gives additional life to the story. I guess, I firmly recall those martial arts films with the likes of Jackie Chan in his youth. This narrator gives that kind of feel to the book. I must clarify said films were heavily dubbed and mainly poorly so. However, the essence of the attitudes of the baddies is that type of essence and much much more. In short, if this were a fantasy series with crystals, gems, dragons etc then it would tick the boxes. In truth, it is indeed a reflection of such but power and strength is acquired from martial arts training and endeavours with the magical sword and gem stone thrown in. Great plot, great action, great narration, and without hesitation 5 star plus.

Whiny MC with entitlement symptom
MC: its wrong that elites can kill anyone because might makes right
next moment
MC: gets OP and kills for vengeance
MC: kills a dude
next moment
MC: WHY - I JUST WANT TO LIVE IN PEACE!!
I mean, its not the worst reincarnation book I ever read, but the whiny MC just gets on my nerves. So if reading about an insanely op mc challenging authority figures with smirking self satisfaction is your thing - its probably a good read.

Okay story. Bad narration.
Edited review:
Before I had only read the first book. now I'm nearing end of the last one. I had to remove all the stars for performance because I'm so genuinely irritated by this voice actor. There have been so many characters who shout for absolutely no reason. I feel like this is narrated by a 13 year old with mood issues. Some of the writing and conversations are just horrible too. I would not recommend this book.
I enjoy the story but the narration is a little annoying. I like the voice in general, yet there are areas that just irritate me. The are outbursts where the mc really over reacts, going from calm to a shout for little reason. It really reminded me of a 13 year old having a temper tantrum, which just felt really out of place.
The other thing that annoys me is the swearing. Sure I don't mind swearing, but you could at least change it up a little. I've noticed the f swear used multiple times when something goes wrong, and it just feels repetitive and childish.
Other than that it's a good story. I enjoy it, but I probably wouldn't buy the rest of the serise.

Written by a psycho. Talantless psycho...
Listen to this only if you have listened to every other book on the audible and have nothing left to listen. Like literally...
