Summary
Following his 2011 top 10 hit The Case of The Missing Boyfriend, Nick Alexander returns with another number one best seller: The Half-Life of Hannah.
'If your first love came back to offer you everything you ever dreamed of, what would you do?'
Hannah is 38 and the happily married mother of 11-year-old Luke, the diamond in her world. Her marriage is reassuringly stable and after 15 years she has managed to push the wild dreams of youth from her mind and concentrate on the everyday satisfactions of here and now. The first half of her life hasn’t been as exciting as she had hoped, but then, she reckons, whose has?
When she succeeds in convincing husband Cliff to rent a villa in the south of France for a summer vacation with her sister Jill and gay friend Tristan, she’s expecting little more than a pleasant few weeks with her family. But they each have their own baggage - their own secrets - ready to explode on this not-so-relaxing holiday in France.
When a phone call at the villa announces the imminent arrival of a ghost from her past, the ambiance is transformed into a raging sea of jealousy as Hannah is forced to question everything she thought she knew and believed. But is she brave enough to take the life-changing decisions her future happiness requires?

nice but not much happens
it was a nice story and I like the narrator but I definitely wouldn't call it a thriller!

Surprised me
I loved the narration and the writing style
combined! The narrator worked so hard making the whole thing come to life.

Beautifully crafted to keep your interest
I really enjoyed the way little bits of the past were woven in to the present. It felt very much smoother than many books it that way. The narration is pitched perfectly and allows the main character to come alive in the readers imagination. I have enjoyed many of Nick Alexander's books, but this one perhaps most of all.

an easy read
a light read but a story that kept me intrigued, I did it on a road trip and hadn't quite anticipated the abruptness of the ending and was left wanting more!

Slowly addictive
Another great book by this author. Starts a little slow but I ended up listening late into the night more than once.

awful and dreadful bore of a story
So disappointed after so enjoying You Then, Me Now very much. Nothing really happens until half way through, apparently, and I don't have the will to persevere.
