Summary
A paranormal cozy mystery series from USA Today best-selling author Nancy Warren
Under the Great British Baking Contest competition tent, there's more at stake than winning the title of Best Baker in All of Britain. For amateur baker Poppy Wilkinson, there are mysteries to solve, secrets and lies, even murder. As a fledgling witch, Poppy's having enough trouble controlling her sponge cake, never mind trying to control her powers. Besides solving crime, Poppy's also trying to uncover the mystery surrounding her own background. Will she discover who she really is before she gets sent home? Or worse?
The Great Witches Baking Show is a loving homage to all competitive baking shows, but especially Bake-Off. Imagine Bake-Off with witches and murders - and recipes! Set in the lovely English countryside, these are classic British mysteries with a twist. There's no gore, swearing, or sex in these paranormal cozy mysteries - just good fun, quirky characters, an interfering ghost, and an adorable familiar or three. Sink your teeth into this bingeable series today.

Pretty good fun cosy mystery
I was looking for something different and am glad I found these books. There is no graffic violence/sex but some good fun with a mystery twist. Looking forward to listening to the next one's.
Only complaint is the narrator had such limited range so often characters blended together unless listening closely.

Good fun but dreadful accents!
Please can somebody tell Hollis McCarthy that her British regional accents are dreadful? I love her reading American based books but I giggled all the way through these last 3 and not because of the storylines (which are very good btw) The Welsh accent must be the worse, closely followed by the North Yorkshire accent. Not all English folk speak with a plum in their mouth either!
Anyway, love these books centred around a baking contest, similar to the famous one on TV. The paranormal twist is good and I love murder mysteries. Follow Poppy on her journey to find her birth mother whilst solving the murders on the way.

The stories are lovely some great twists and turns
Omg as someone from Britain the accents are terrible. Somerset accenr is nothing like the cockney she uses. The Scottish was the only half similar and very few people talk with an upper class accent. Dick Van Dyke eat your heart out it makes his cockney accent almost realistic.
