Heartbreaking

This book is certainly unlike any of the other books I’ve previously listened to from Jo.

I don’t think this book is for everyone. Some people might have difficulty with the issues involved in this one, i.e. suicidal thoughts.

Jo has written some very evil and devious family members in the past but this one takes the bullet. There really are some great characters and you get fully invested in their lives.

I feel wrong saying that I enjoyed this book as it’s a very tragic tale
But I did enjoy it. I’m glad that I listen to it.

I didn’t know how this was going to end in a satisfying way, but I guess it did, but it kept you guessing what would happen.

Good narration…suited the story

Another cracker

This story was brilliant and also sensitive to suicide. Well written as are all Jo Bartlett’s books. This is a must read/ Listen.

Listening to this has been hard as this was my life until we all had the strength to leave.
Beautifully written and so much emotion but so much strength and joy.

Amazing, heartfelt story about loss and family

I cannot begin to say how much I loved this story from start to finish. It had me captivated wanting to know what happens next. Jo Bartlett has really captivated the grief surrounding loss, and the emotions little girl caught up in the middle of it all. Look forward to her next publication.

I normally love her writing but I saw the storyline in chapter 6 so wasted the rest of the story.
