About this listen

Ten thousand years ago, the sentient starship Echo left Earth on a colonization mission. Now, he returns to a solar system ruled by the tyrannical Flaxens, a genocidal race who have enslaved hummanity.

Earth is a shadow of its former self, with a colossal metallic cylinder looming over Jupiter, controlled by a mysterious AI. Amidst the chaos, Echo and his crew must race against time to liberate Earth. But their mission is complicated by Serilda, a young woman with a dangerous secret and a connection to both sides of the conflict. Can Echo trust her, or will her presence lead to Earth's destruction?

The Flaxen Tyranny is a high-tech science fiction novel filled with action, intrigue, and thought-provoking concepts. Perfect for listeners who enjoy complex world-building and thrilling space adventures.

A solid debut

This was a pretty fun listen! Interesting story with a bunch of Sci Fi ideas thrown in! The only down for me was the narrator. Some of the voice choices were a bit odd.

Well that was unexpected.. .

This is one of those books that stays with you for days after you finish. There were some actually brand new scifi concepts. It is both dark and wonderfully hopeful at times. There were atrocities The Flaxens committed which made me pause the book to recover. Beautiful writing style and solidly narrated. There is once character you will absolutely adore, I guarantee it. My only small gripe would be that the Narrator could be better at doing male voices, but I'm just being picky at this point.

Listen now for a truly original sci-fi experience.
