Intriguing final instalment
Jeffery Deaver does not disappoint with the intrigue and plot twists in this final book of the series. Keeps you engaged to the end.

Disappointment
After thoroughly enjoying the first two, this third Colter Shaw novel was a huge disappointment.
I found the start of the book lacking in clarity and motivation was muddy; this may have been because it closely followed on from book two.
It did pick up as it went along but the end was unmemorable and I have little inclination to pick up book 4 when it comes out.
The narrator was workmanlike and didn’t help raise the book up much

A bit dull
This was hard going. I didn't care about the story. The characters were one dimensional. Made it to the end but only because I kept hoping it would improve. Usually really enjoy Jeffery Deaver. This one is a dud though.

Boring
Took an age to get started. The characters are very flimsy and two dimensional. Most of the narrative is spent discussing pointless and uninteresting details.
The worst bit was the author going over in painful detail how the previous chapters had been laid out by the protagonists. Unfortunately, the whole thing was so predictable that the explanation really wasn't required.
Overall, tedious and dreadful.

Disappointingly dull
I have tried to get through this book, but it’s just so dull. For a thriller, each action scene is so boringly written that I genuinely fell asleep when listening to it. It’s such a shame because I want to like these hooks, but it’s just not written well enough to continue
