The best book on NYHC
What did you like most about The Evolution of a Cro-Magnon?
This is one of the most insane life stories I've ever heard in my life. Anyone who is in anyway interested in the evolution of the New York music scene in the 80s and 90s needs to hear this book.
What about John Joseph’s performance did you like?
John Joseph narrates the book so you can hear all the emotions and personal touches to the stories he's telling. It is simply the best audiobook autobiography.

Epic tale ... super inspiring.
A must read for people interested in changing their life and perspective. It's very moving in part as well as being pretty funny. cheers John.

Well it is a evolution
This book is unbelievable John Joseph goes through insane circumstances of his life, you really don't know what is going to happen in the next chapter. The book is absolutely heartbreaking at times, and then the next chapter can be hilariously funny "Santa Claus."

Amazing, raw, enlightening
A great listen! This man has lived one hell of a life! A truly amazing story and told so well by John himself with his raw new york accent! Compleat with impressions of all the crazy characters in this book really puts you into the scene!

Best Audio book Ever
Full of incredibly sad, funny, inspirational and entertaining stories. Not just recommended for fans of Cro-Mags and hardcore but for anyone that enjoys a good story.
