Summary

What secrets lie in the ledgers of the Royal Government Bank?

After Harry Paterson is summoned to London following his father's murder, he finds out that the late Lord Elliot Paterson had discovered hidden information dated all the way back to 1936...and a vast quantity of money erased from the accounts.

Mysterious initials and an address in Leningrad - a major port in former Soviet Union - are his only clues.

Together with the attractive Judith Meadows, Harry must unravel his father's mysterious death - and figure out the mystery hidden in the files of the Royal Government Bank.

Excellent book

I received a free copy of this book in return for a fair and impartial review.

I really enjoyed the book from start to finish. I thought that it was well written and the narration was excellent. It was a great story spanning the decades with plenty of twists and turns. The choice of narrator also seemed to be a perfect fit and I’ll be looking for other books they’ve worked on.

Deceptions

The Desolate Garden by Daniel Kemp is full of great twists and manipulations. I enjoyed how the books spanned a number of decades. The imagery and details were well done. Kudos to the author for the great ending. William Merry Hill was wonderful performing this book. He gave the characters distinguishable voices. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review.
