About this listen

A piece of meat; born to breed; past its sell-by-date; one of the herd.

Three women. A whole world of judgement.

Tara, Cam and Stella are very different women. Yet in a society that sets the agenda, there’s something about being a woman that ties invisible bonds between us.

When one extraordinary event rockets Tara to online infamy, their three worlds collide in ways they could never imagine – and they discover that one woman’s catastrophe might just be another’s inspiration.

Through friendship and conflict, difference and likeness, they’ll learn to find their own voices.

Because sometimes it’s OK not to follow the herd.

Fantastic book well done Dawn

Gripping and full of amazing insight , absolutely loved it and the honesty she writes with. Great female characters bring the story to life and tackle some very real issues facing all modern women today.

Took a while to get into

At first I found the characters hard to relate to, not being or desiring to be the mum, but also not being career superstar (what else is there?). However, the complex nature of female relationships was well captured and made it worthwhile. You do need to suspend disbelief to stick with the main plot line though.

Wow!

Wow .. I only usually listen to romantic comedy/chick lits but got recommended Dawn O’Porter so gave it a go.
I literally couldn’t stop listening! .. still in a bit of shock from the hard hitting content but I absolutely loved it & will listen to more of her books.
The narration was absolutely spot on which enhanced it even more.
Wow what a great book!

Great book

I loved this and will be recommending to all my friends. The characters were well-rounded and believable, and I liked having one narrator for each. All the narrators were great. The ways that women are portrayed and vilified in the media were captured so well, not to mention the ways women are pitted against each other.
