Summary

Our strengths can become our weaknesses. Our traits and habitual behaviors can become traps. In each chapter of The Coach's Casebook the listener follows a skilled coach working with a client who is struggling with one of the 12 traits that every coach will face in their coaching work - traits such as people pleasing, perfectionism, impostor syndrome, performance anxiety, and procrastination.

In each of the case studies in The Coach's Casebook, the coach shares their emotions, their thought processes and their reflections from coaching supervision as they try to understand the psychological origins of these behaviors and to work out how to help their client. This book is a great book for leadership development and has been used extensively for executive leadership for results but is above all designed to help you improve your coaching practice. It gives you practical, tried and tested techniques that you can use today to improve your coaching habits and coaching practice to help your clients to change the habits of a lifetime.

Good tools to help yourself and others

Sometimes the example stories feel a little long. However, the tools described are very useful.

Audible version is excellent

I enjoyed listening to the coaches go through each case study, supervision and interview for the chapters - this structure worked well. I am glad I got the audible version though as I fear I may have skimmed some of the content. Useful concepts, coaching tips and tools.

Good content

The content was good but the quality of the sound was not. It sounds like it was recorded in a bathroom. Worth getting and listening hopefully future books will be recorded with better sound quality.

Great book but would benefit from chapter titles

Would benefit from having the chapter titles in the audiobook app. It was frustrating trying to go between different sections.

Beautifully simple. Simply beautiful.

I bought this book but didn’t make the time to read it. I’ve listened to it while on holiday and I think it’s really good. I hope they’ll do another volume.

Great book for your development and for coaches

Loved this book.
the case studies were really interesting to listen to. The tools provided at the end if each section were really useful as well and anyone could apply them to themselves as well.
Some of the sections were particularly interesting as it illuminated where I could have blind spits as well.

Left powerfull impression on me

Individual casestudies were very useful to me. They led me to greater understanding of the theory behind it and gave me motivation and ideas of how to apply some of it in everyday work. Thanks!

Really good examples

I love the way that this audio has been formatted with the coach coaching examples and the coach being supervised and how the coach identifies how they can improve in their coaching too! Goes really deep into the structure of coaching.
