About this listen
A binge-worthy psychological thriller packed with twists
A love story, a deception, a misinterpretation, and murder.
When Marilyn and Scratch play matchmakers for their friends Misty and Roland, they spark an instant love connection. However, Roland and Misty harbor deep family secrets and childhood traumas. As their love story unfolds, these hidden truths become the driving force behind a gripping mystery filled with unexpected twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
The unraveling of long-held family secrets begins when a troubled patient appears in Roland’s office while a mysterious man pursues Misty. As their mothers' paths intersect and concealed truths come to light, a crucial question emerges: Can their relationship withstand the weight of their families' vengeful past?
After six people collapse during the champagne toast at their wedding at The Opulence Hotel, the blame game for murder unfolds, casting a dark shadow over the once-joyous occasion and putting relationships to the ultimate test.
The Champagne Toast is an enthralling thriller rife with suspense, exploring the complexities of friendship, the influence of family loyalty, and the resilience of true love.

The Champagne Toast
When is a toast not a toast... when it leads to murder. This third book in the Opulence series from Leah Orr is edge of the seat listening, the usual mix of quirky and likeable characters once again meet at the Opulence Hotel and get involved in murder and mystery. Well written and fast paced, all assisted by Annalee Scotts narration, I thought the addition of Danny Montooth sharing the narration reading the male parts was a great move in the production. Highly Recommended listen.
I was kindly given a copy of the book by the author and leave this honest review.

On the edge of my seat!
After the beginning scene of the book, the action jumps back in time to the beginning of the MCs' relationship. I honestly forgot I was in a suspense thriller, as I fell in love with the quick banter between the main characters. What a ride this book turned out to be!!
I thought the narrators did a great job and had great comedic timing.

Utterly unputdownable.
Wow! Just wow! What a fantastic book! The worldbuilding is great, the suspense builds throughout the story, and the characters feel so real. I loved the dual narration by Annalee Scott and Danny Montooth. Utterly unputdownable.
A review copy of the book was sent to me by the author. All of the above opinions are my own.
