About this listen

An astonishing new scientific discovery called neuroplasticity is overthrowing the centuries-old notion that the adult human brain is fixed and unchanging. It is, instead, able to change its own structure and function, even into old age.

In this revolutionary look at the brain, psychiatrist and psychoanalyst Norman Doidge, M.D., provides an introduction to both the brilliant scientists championing neuroplasticity and the people whose lives they’ve transformed.

Such an fascinating book

Not just dry facts but deeply moving and vivid stories. They are interesting, touching and eye-opening. It’s a science book and the science is simply inspirational. This has been an unmissable a few hours of fun. It is also very well narrated.

Extremely informative

This is greatly scientific book that really explains how our brain works. It is a must background reading for all these books that only tell what you need to do but don’t explain why. In contrary, this book did not have any section explaining how to apply all this knowledge in practice, and this was the only downside of this book.
