About this listen
Fall under the spell of Diana and Matthew once more in the stunning climax to the All Souls trilogy, following A Discovery of Witches and Shadow of Night.
A world of witches, daemons and vampires. A manuscript that holds the secrets of their past and the key to their future. Diana and Matthew - the forbidden love at the heart of it.
After traveling through time in Shadow of Night, the second book in Deborah Harkness's enchanting series, historian and witch Diana Bishop and vampire scientist Matthew Clairmont return to the present to face new crises and old enemies. At Matthew's ancestral home in France they reunite with their families - with one heart-breaking exception. But the real threat to their future is yet to be revealed, and when it is, the search for the elusive manuscript Ashmole 782 and its missing pages takes on a terrifying urgency. Using ancient knowledge and modern science, from the palaces of Venice and beyond, Diana and Matthew will finally learn what the witches discovered so many centuries ago.

Excellent continuation of the journey
The third book in the All Souls Series came to a conclusion but left enough unanswered questions that you know that the story will continue on. Diana Pregnant with twins at the start of the book Continues to look for the Ashmore 782 and the search continues for Mathews evil sun Benjamin and the twists and conniving of Gerber and Dominico continues. There is loss of life and new life which is both sorrowful and joyous and brings its own difficulties. The search continues for a cure for the blood rage with surprisingly amazing results and the family dynamics continue to change and grow. Roll on book 4
Well read and intriguing done.

Amazing end to an amazing story
I started reading this series after watching the TV programme based on the first book. I have really enjoyed it, I read a lot of books, mostly supernatural themed and this story had it all. It was nice to read a series that was so informative and historically interesting as well as exciting, funny and romantic. I found the writing a lot more grown up than I usually read and I enjoyed this a lot, I will certainly be looking for more novels by this author.

Fabulous
I loved this series, a wonderful mix of history, fantasy and modern themes, love and loss, family and feud. Very sad to have finished it.

Fitting Finale
Make sure you read the first two or you'll be a bit lost.
The twins make an appearance as their parents try to cope with the vampire rage running through the family's genes. Will their wayward son find out the genetic secret of the curse?

Love all of it
Love this final story in the series. Its a trilogy I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to & have found it hard to put down. Deborah Harkness weaves a brilliant story & the final book has pulled the different strings of the story together of the Bishop/De Clairmont clan. Was totally engrossed with everything, the characters good & bad, the history, even the genetics which were a bit over my head. The narrator was also exceptional & her different characterisations & accents brought it all to life.

Very enjoyable.
I loved this conclusion to the trilogy. some queations left but i like that.
my only criticism was some of the details with M and B. i don't want to spoil and i understand why they had to be included but i did find myself cringing though those chapters and appricate the brevity. i didnt want to skip incase i missed something. if i could i would have marked it 4.5!.
