Helpful book and guide

I liked the fact that it tries or attempts to make the Art of War applicable to real life.

I have read several different versions of Art of War, but never really grasped or remembered many ideas of the book. The problem with it is that it talks about abstract concepts which u may not understand, and as a result u may not grasp or remember those concepts. I felt this audiobook was helpful somewhat, but never really grabbed me. I suppose I required more illustration of those concepts, or more spoon feeding to understand some of these complex issues discussed in this book. Its like someone teaching u about vectors in physics which the Art of War and then Prof Wilson goes on to explain how u can use vectors to predict the course of ball u throw.
I really think for beginners there is an Art of War comic available on Amazon (not great), but the best way to learn Art of War is the book Sunzi speaks - it is a fantastic illustrated Art of War - then perhaps come to this audiobook.
After this I would recommend u read any of Robert Greene's books which really have a more practical example of many of the concepts of the Art of War.

Andrews interpretation..
Andrews interpretation around the art of war. I hoped for more direct excerpts of the book rather than the individuals view of it. due to this I found it much less educational than I had hoped.
Still good, the guy seems to know his stuff, just not for me.

Interesting and informative
OK to start with I've read the art of war many times.
The lecture series on this book provides context, provides information that for the most part I was unaware of.
It doesn't go in depth on each part of the book but does give a good overview. Listening to it while Russia prepares an invasion I was struck by the relevance to today (well, yesterday before the invasion anyway).
Historical context, meanings of particular words, even who wrote the book - all given. Particularly impressed by the examples given from WW2 for such matters as spies and weather.
I'll happily listen to this lecture again and again. Its short, its informative and presented very well.

More of an overview of the book than the book
A great series of lectures explaining and giving a background on the art of war. While not providing the text of the book itself. So in my opinion this is a companion to the art of war.

A thoughtful analysis of the book making it relevant to modern times. And comes with the standard Great Courses comedy Hollywood voiceover guy and his over-the-top introduction to each section.

Interesting and I like the short length
I really enjoyed this. It is informative, provides a great deal to think about, while being a nice short course.. a great relief after recently listening to a 30 hour plus course.. it would be great if this Great course series varied the length more .. say from 90 mins to 50 hours …

Very strong business secrets of the Pharaohs vibes.
The first thing to note when business secrets of Sun Tzu is an acknowledgement that his era was so completely different from our own that almost all cultural, political and particularly business parallels we draw between the two eras are, by their very nature, bound to be wrong.
