A KILLER WHO KNOWS HIS TRADE

'Gerritsen was a medic before she turned to writing, and her book contains enough grisly details to put you off hospitals for life. But if you like your crime medicine strong, this will keep you gripped' MAIL ON SUNDAY

A series of horrific murders seem disturbingly familiar to Detective Jane Rizzoli. They remind her and Forensic Pathologist Maura Isles of those committed by a killer known as The Surgeon, who they recently put behind bars.

While they’re still trying to track down the new killer, the unthinkable happens: The Surgeon escapes. Suddenly, Jane is chasing not one but two brilliant and twisted minds, united by one goal...

Great book, average narration

Once I got past the infuriating mispronunciation of “RiT-zoli” (ffs why did nobody at Random House tell her it’s “Rizzoli”?!?) I enjoyed this book.

Looking forward to the relationships with Isles and Dean developing through the series.

Narrator is awful

Great book as always by Tedd Gerritson in theRizzoli & Isles series but marred by having to listen to her constantly saying “RiTzzolli”. There is NO T in the surname. Please don’t let this woman narrate in this series again it is so off putting. Still a great listen with all of the usual plot twists we have come to expect from the series.

Great story line..

Wonderful reading as usual, but a couple of snags. Quite often when listening to the book it repeats the same sentence twice. (poorly recorded?)
Also the Narrator needs to do a little more work on her accents, the Irish one was quite amusing!

Great Book

love this book only issue I had with this recording is that several times small passages repeated so was a little confusing. Other than this I enjoyed it.

Great story.

this really is a twisted tale, with well thought out plots that intersect and will be relevant in future books.
The narration wasn't bad though I did not like the voice given to Dr Maura Isles.
The big criticism here is in the editing. many lines are repeated and it becomes annoyingly invasive.

Brilliantly disturbing

The storyline is genius, and the chacterisations are amazing. Who could come through the clutches of the killer twice? Only someone who has no off button. Brilliantly narrated.

Enjoyed The surgeon, so decided to read the next book and it didn’t disappoint it had me griped and terrified right from the beginning, brilliantly written, ready for book number 3 now.

Sequel to The Surgeon, get that 1st!

A few glitches and repeats in the recording and some questionable accents but overall a compelling ride. Listen to The Surgeon 1st, its better and this will give away loads.
