Summary

'Curiosity is more than just a desire to discover. It's a lifestyle, and a purrvilege. It's hours of observing a fly on the wall. It's entering the sock drawer just before it closes. It's sniffing the lampshade one more time....'

Such is the wisdom of Curious Zelda: social media star, agony aunt, yoga teacher, cat. In The Adventures of a Curious Cat she gives insight into her view of the world and dispenses unparalleled wisdom. Zelda explains, in her unique voice, how to handle humans, how to communicate with furniture and, most importantly, how to live a life curiously. It's the ultimate self-help guide for any cat or, indeed, their human.

Hilarious and genuinely original

I love curious zelda on instagram. I wasn't sure how well her style would work as a book and especially an audiobook.

But it's so much more than the wonderfully funny poetry we know her for.

The book is a very well thought out story of the life of zelda, from her adoption through all her adventures at home training her staff (humans), dealing with guests, hunting, furniture, local cats and everything else the modern cat must deal with.

What impresses me is that there is no humour that feels stale, which is quite a feat we all know that cat humour has taken over the internet (and may be the reason for it's existence).

The reading is also perfect.

I played some for my family the other day and we were all laughing out loud

I look forward to hearing more from her

This book is a serotonin pill !

Curious Zelda was a great aid during my worst depressive episodes in the past weeks. Intelligent, light and jolly funny - three traits needed in a book for a very saddened, tired and confused brain. The narrative and the puns were so tremendously smart and the performance so cute, I couldn't help but feel like I was part of the story, as a human and as a cat.
I am following Zelda on Instagram for an extra daily dose of serotonin and dopamine.

Much love <3

Have listened to the book twice (with my cat!)

Zelda freely dishing out advice, sharing her wisdom on life and how to teach your humans is a must read or listen. If you haven't already, follow her on twitter @CuriousZelda - she will brighten up your day. Oh and credit to Matt Taghioff (Contributor) on ably assisting Zelda with her book. The Audible book was well read and a good companion to the book itself (you need the book for the cute pictures) and the audio book when you are not able to read. Have listened to it twice already with Peggy-Sui (my cat) also listening intently (well sleeping nearby) but the narrator's voice seems to soothe her.
