About this listen
Tempting Tristan is a stand-alone M/M romance featuring two sexy, lovable alpha heroes.
Tristan and Alex
Fresh off the heels of yet another bad relationship, Tristan Brewer is taking a break from men to try to figure out where he keeps going wrong. He knows his biggest fault - he leads with his heart, not his head - and that’s never going to change. But after several introspective weeks, he’s beginning to get a handle on things. That is until badass heartthrob Alex Wells walks into his bar...
Alex has spent eight years in the army, months in a hospital bed, and far too long hiding his sexual identity. He’s guilt-ridden, damaged, pissed off, and up for a Silver Star for the incident that nearly cost him his life - and kept him from his grandmother’s funeral. But all he wants to do is live the life he’s always dreamed of and forget his stint with the institution that allows but doesn’t necessarily accept.
The chemistry between Tristan and Alex ignites from the moment they meet, and the more time they spend together, the hotter the flames burn. But the closer they become, the more Alex's walls go up, and when the two walk onto a military base, Tristan finds out Alex’s physical scars aren’t the ones that run the deepest.
Harborside Nights is a sexy, hot, and evocatively real series of stand-alone romances that follows a group of friends who have known one another for years as "summer" friends and now come together after college to build their lives. They're tough, edgy, and accepting - most of the time. This series is written in the same loving, raw, and emotional voice readers have come to love by New York Times and USA Today best-selling, award-winning author Melissa Foster, with LGBT themes.

Not your typical romance novel
5* book
Different from other books I've read
They get together fairly quickly and the story explores how they get to a healthy relationship and grow together.
Excellent narration and good pace

Deliciously Tempting
I think I finished this book in one sitting. Once it started I couldn't get enough of both Tristan and Alex.
It is no secret Melissa is one of my favourite authors but it is the first time I listen to an MM story from her and I am here begging, no, pleading she continues writing more books in the Harborside Nights.
As Tristan is busy working his night shift in the local bar, Alex drops in and can't take his eyes from the sexy bartender. After exchanging a quick note you know you are in for a wild and sexy ride. Their connection is powerful and instantaneous and the chemistry combustible. But what I loved about this story was that it was not just about to guys coming together (in every sense of the word) but also exploring the depth of their feelings fighting their insecurities and demons from their past. Alex is deeply scarred and he bears the injuries of a terrible war accident. Being in the military meant having to hide his sexuality but he is ready to fight for what he wants. Tristan has a heart of gold and he is a giver and cares deeply for those he holds dear, this has led him to be badly hurt by past relationships and he is not looking to put himself in harm's way at the risk of losing his heart but one look at Alex and his carefully constructed plan flies out of the window. Soon both men are craving the nearness and the love they both deserve but in pursuing it they most first learn to let go of their past and stand up and fight for their HEA.
As always Jacob Morgan was a joy to listen and he brought the character to life. Tedy put the sole in the character and together they deliver a flawless performance.

average with deadpan delivery
This is an average story probably aimed at woman readers. The masculinity would not convince any man. The deadpan delivery of the reader is unusual. I couldn't decide whether I loved it or hated it so I rated it between the two.

Chiselled and screwed down
Chiselled chin injured of mind and body ex military wood sculptor finds his idol and screws him mentally and physically.
Dramatic story with lots of angst.
Took several tries to reach the end, finally gave up with 1hr to go as could see how it would end, not happily I expect.
Teddy Hamilton's narration is excellent but Jacob Morgan, whom I usually love, and am more used to hear reading irreverent comedies like the excellent Priest by Sierra Simone; his minor key voice wasn't upbeat at all, which would've raised the pitch of the story from minor to major, allowing some joy to enter the words and lift the passion.
I did not enjoy this book.

Adding this author to my "NEVER BUY AGAIN!" list
I don't know why it's called tempting Tristan when this is THE MOST insta-love book in history.
They didn't even talk and had already exchanged numbers! Second chapter and already talking about if they're big, how they want to hump each other and Kiss!!!!?????... oh, hell no. I go through that crap every day in my life; I don't wanna spend my money listening to the same crap.
Also, it's so boring... they talk for everrrrrr about the people they've lost and how they are sad and blaaahhhh, and when they actually talk about something else, they are homophobic and misogynist. So damn bad.
And the dialogues... seriously?!
"I can't wait to feel the same way I just felt a moment ago"... you mean when you were talking about the dead grandma and got hard?? WTF!!
I wouldn't be surprised if the 14 positive reviews are from the author's family and friends.
On that note... teddy and Jacob are the bommmmb!!! I swear I could hear them read shampoo instructions
