Summary
So...you'd think after banishing an immortal being and a fallen High Priestess, saving Stark's life, biting Heath, getting a headache from Erik, and almost dying, Zoey Redbird would catch a break. Sadly, a break is not in the House of Night school forecast for the High Priestess in training and her gang. Juggling three guys is anything but a stress reliever, especially when one of them is a sexy Warrior who is so into protecting Zoey that he can sense her emotions.
Speaking of stress, the dark force lurking in the tunnels under the Tulsa Depot is spreading, and Zoey is beginning to believe Stevie Rae could be responsible for a lot more than a group of misfit red fledglings. Aphrodite's visions warn Zoey to stay away from Kalona and his dark allure, but they also show that it is Zoey who has the power to stop the evil immortal.
Soon it becomes obvious that Zoey has no choice: if she doesn't go to Kalona he will exact a fiery vengeance on those closest to her. Will Zoey have the courage to chance losing her life, her heart, and her soul? Find out in the next spectacular installment in the House of Night Series, Tempted.

loved it
The books keep getting darker and you can't stop listening to zoey's adventures. The new reader is really good.

Another great addiction to the HoN series...
Another great book in the House of Night Series. Properly addicted! If you like the young adult Vampire type books, this series is for you!

Tempted
This is in my opinion the most powerful book of the series to date. Unlike the others, this story is told from multiple viewpoints, which was a plus for me as Zoe is a character I don't particularly like, and I got to spend time in the heads of the characters I do. Also unlike the others, this book has a real cliffhanger of an ending which sets up the next book perfectly. I was pleasantly surprised by the narrator. I've had Cassandra Morris before and never liked her as a reader, but she does an excellent job this time. Yet again though, the reader is different for the next book. That makes the fourth reader this series has had. I can promise readers that Tempted really does live up to its name and you won't be tempted to do anything else while reading it.

Narrator
Why does the narrator finish every sentence like a question? :(
Drastic difference to previous reader who was amazing at voices and accents.
Ruins the story a little, and it is one of my favourites from the series.

Narrator
The previous narrator change wasn't too bad, but unfortunately this narrator sounds totally wrong! She makes Zoe sound like an it girl from the valley and she is unable to make any of the other characters sound believable. Story good, but narration spoils it. :(

bad narration
After listening to the previous books with excellent narration and accents this book came as a major shock to me. I am sorry but a narrator who cannot do the accents required or the appropriate age of the characters in her voice as part of her performance sets my teeth on edge. A brilliant book is ruined like this, all I can say is thank God she only does book 6 and later books are another narrator. My advice would be if you want to have this book buy it in print and get the others around it in audio, even brilliant writing cannot save a bad performance.
