And many more...

Christopher Berry-Dee is the man who talks to serial killers. A world-renowned investigative criminologist, he has gained the trust of murderers across the world, entered their high security prisons, and discussed in detail their shocking crimes.

The killers' pursuit of horror and violence is described through the unique audiotape and videotape interviews which Berry-Dee conducted, deep inside the bowels of some of the world's toughest prisons.

Christopher Berry-Dee has collated these interviews into this astounding, disturbing book, which, since its first publication, has gone on to become a True Crime classic. Not only does he describe his meetings with some of the world's most evil men and women, he also reproduces, verbatim, their very words as they describe their crimes, allowing the reader a glimpse into the inner workings of the people who have committed the worst crime possible- to mercilessly take the life of another human being.

Fascinating Facts

Heard the author being interviewed by Shaun Atwood... Excellent book and well narrated... Very thought provoking about child abuse and the effects on male children

Shocking, compelling

A very shocking and powerful series of interviews and accounts of serial killers. There is a lot of graphic content which you may find disturbing. It would have been improved by just one or two tweaks to the performance. For instance, it was irritating that in a book with so many homicides, the narrator continued to pronounce it homeycide, rather than hommicide....

Terrifyingly good

This was a difficult but gripping listen. Absolutely terrifying.
At times I was genuinely frightened, chilling words of killers, actual police reports.
Anyone who likes true crime this is one for you, nothing held back, full gruesome details. Fabulously disturbing.

Almost perfect

I really enjoyed this book. It is very well written and researched. It is also well narrated with one huge, ginormous exception. The accents, oh my god, the accents. Highly irritating at first, but you get used to it, and by the end, I was amused by them. So, so bad.

Ignore negative reviews

I’m glad I wasn’t put off by some of the reviews criticising the narrators accent, whilst trying to sound American , he’s just trying to add some authenticity to what he’s reading and also makes it easier to know what is a quote and what is written by the author.
Obviously this book is sickening at times and I did skip a few bits if I’m honest due to the content but it is however very interesting. C.C-D never glorifies the killers or makes excuses for what they have done but he does give you the back ground of their childhoods at the start of each morbid chapter and a summary at the end of each. Some of their childhoods are as disturbing as the crimes they committed. Interesting and well written

People can be terrifying

Chilling insights into human nature and how animalistic we can be. Well worth a listen.
